for those of you who have been lucky enough to snag a cancellation ADR - give me hope

can someone please give me the number for the reservations? I need one for the 17th of sept for a buffet (prefered) but am open to anything right about now.:worship: thanks:goodvibes

do you happen to know when the CM lunch dates are? That would be even better!

I called yesterday and got a Chef Mickey's lunch. The CM told me they were having lunch there for all of the free dining, because it's so popular.

You could try calling back and asking for the latest lunch seating instead of dinner.

I went to Disney this past November and wanted Tony's for dinner the day we were in the MK...well, I called several times a week for several months before our trip..and nothing! The day we went to the MK we were online for a ride and I decided to call the dining phone line to see if there was any cancellations...WELL, NOT ONLY DID THEY HAVE AN OPENING BUT I WAS ABLE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN 2 DIFFERENT TIMES FOR DINNER! In my experience, most people cancel the night before of the day of their intended reservation.

Good Luck! ;)

Definitely keep checking the ADR cancelled thread. I just picked up a CRT dinner for my arrival day thanks to a wonderful Dis'er.

I tried for several months to get ressies at 1900 PF for nine of us to celebrate 3 birthdays in our party. Even up until the day before we left, they kept telling me they were booked. When I checked us into the Poly (two rooms), I asked the girl at the check-in desk about my dining reservations and she gave me a list of them. I asked about 1900 PF and she said "Let me see what I can do for you!" Lo and behold, she got us the reservations and make sure our cake reservations were transferred over to this dinner. (I had ordered two mini castle cakes and the slipper dessert!) SO.... if you don't get reservations you want before you go, try as soon as you check in --the people at the front desk might be able to do things for you!!!!
BTW, the mini castle cakes and the slipper dessert were the best I've ever had! :woohoo:

Just in the last week, I scored a Chef Mickeys' for breakfast, a Le Cellier lunch and a Le Cellier dinner. I gave away the lunch to another dis'r. The week before I scored a Coral Reef dinner. All were booked when I originally called. Just keep trying it happens - helps if you have free long distance too ;)

Another example - just an hour ago I called for Tusker house for lunch on a certain day. It was booked. I called back not even an hour later and they had a table at the exact time I wanted. If you "stalk" long enough you can get the ressie you want. Good luck!

Last year we were making ADRs in July for our October trip. We asked about LeCellier, not expecting anything. They had something for lunch, and we were going to take that, but then the CM said "WAIT! we have something for 7pm." They just had a cancellation, so we lucked out.

I can only add, keep checking. It can work. I added Le Cellier dinner to our trip during free dining 2 days ago. Little earlier than I wanted, but it's on a EMH night and we'll probably consider that a late lunch and chose a good CS meal if we are hungry later on. I was also able to change the Garden Grill I had for that night to our last night, which I wanted so we could go out with a character meal that the kids are looking forward to.

regards

I got the Fantasmic package at H&V 2 weeks out for a party of 14!!!! And that was after 3 months of trying every day and several times a day. My girl scout troop was very happy!:grouphug:

I would definitely keep calling, even including calling on the days you are going. With all the flight time changes that have been happening with airlines, I could see quite a few people cancelling ADRs, but they might wait until they are closer to their trips (in case the flights change again). I know that is happening with me :) I booked my ADRs before some flight changes. At this point, my Ohana breakfast isn't very likely to happen, but I don't want to cancel until closer to the trip in case the flights change again and we end up leaving for home later in the day (like we were originally supposed to do). If my flights stay the same by the week before we go, I'm going to call and cancel it (it's not until December)
Hopefully, that makes sense :) Just keep trying.

Hi, we kept calling in over and over and got lunch reservations for Chef Mickey on September 9th at 12:30. :cool1: I didn't even know they had lunch time reservations but the lady offered us that time, so we grabbed it.

It does happen - I just got one!!!

This thread gave me hope after a moment of insanity caused me to cancel a reservation I had at 1900 Park Fare for dinner then by the next morning I wished I hadn't.

I booked most of my ressies for December at my 180 day mark and got them all near times I wanted, except for a Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose but we'll just have to wait in line and make the best of it. Anyway I kept doubting some of my choices and for some crazy reason on Thursday cancelled 1900 as my dinner before MVMCP. I then instantly regretted it and tried all the next day to get another one but was told it was booked solid. I just called now and got one; it's an hour later than I had but I don't care!

So it does happen. Just keep calling.

I have been calling Disney Dining for the past couple days, and just got what I wanted today. :wizard:
