How do you expect to get all the things you need??? Are you going solo???

I know is really early (plus I haven't been accepted YET) but I need something to keep my mind busy and not think about the yes or no email....

I flew Southwest where you can check two bags per person for free. It was me and my mom going...so I checked four bags. She had a carry on for her 2 nights she was staying.

I pretty much brought what I already had and other things I just bought in Orlando. It packs easier than you may think. I was surprised when I saw how little I had.

You can use options like "site to store" shipping that Walmart has. Buy things online and pick them up at the store. I recommend this because some items will be sold out at 3 or 4 Walmarts in the Orlando area because of CPs moving in.

Oh, and the space saver bags that you suck air out of really do work. They will shrink you clothes to small...but remember that it does't change the weight!

Don't forget that you'll still need to get all those items back home.

Have someone back home mail you some of the things you won't need right away. Especially if you plan to take books or movies, because you can send those really cheap by media mail.

Pack the ESSENTIALS!
Some airlines charge less for checked baggage than others.
In some cases, media mail, or flat rate priority boxes, to ship items there will be cheaper than bringing them on a plane, or buying them locally.
Budget wisely! (Somethings like 'sugar' and 'napkins' can be had by fast food chains for free, but special sauces or spices will cost you.)
Don't forget bed linens! (Your apartment will have utensils, but not a stitch for you to sleep with.)
