For those just back. How were the EMH crowds.....

Just returned last week and did EMH on Sunday night January 30 at MGM...the crowds were pretty heavy until we left (around 8:30 due to DD 6 and DS 3 being very tired). We went Fantasmic which was SRO, then to Muppets (no wait...big surprise), then to Great Movie Ride, wait was about 30 minutes which we decided to skip and head to bed instead.

We then did Epcot EMH the next morning which was great, no crowds at all...but then headed to MK which was packed.

Did not do any EMH at MK or AK.

Hope it helps.

EMH at MK Wed 2/2 evening was not crowded at all, although the chilly rainy weather probably also kept crowds down. Friday AM EMH was also quiet at first, but the park was very busy by noon time. (Dance teams and pre-superbowl added lots of people?).

Agree with all. I think MGM is just more crowded because there are fewer rides there. We were there on the 30th and it was nuts. TOT seemed to have the longest waits. MK on the 2nd was WONDERFUL! We just kept going on stuff, there were TONS of characters out. The only ride with much wait was Peter Pan and that was maybe 10 minutes at the most. It was very rainy and cold however. Give them a try and have no expectations!

We too were at MK on 2/2 and it was by far the best day of our week! The crowds were sooooo thin. Our longest wait was Peter Pan too, maybe 5 minutes. We got on Buzz 4 times in a row, zero wait, the longest part was walking briskly thru the twisty queue, trying to keep up with DS6 and DD9! Space Mountain was zero wait, Space and Splash Mountains too. Indy Speedway was maybe 5 minutes. We just had a wonderful day, bundled up against the cold and occasional rain, easily the most rides we've ever ridden at MK in one day. Meeting Buzz at 2 PM right outside his ride was highlight for DS6 and me!

Did Epcot EMH on evening of 2/1: waste of time.
Everything we wanted to do was closed or broken down.
TT:down, MS: down, no shops open, Maelstrom: down,
El Rio: why?

Just my .02

We were at WDW 1/21-1/31 & thought both the morning & evening EMH hours were busier than during our past trips.

We did the EMH at AK in the am on 1/22 & 1/29 & both were great - not overly busy. We easily rode the Safari, walked the trail outside the Safari & rode Dinosaur before the park opened. There were virtually no waits during this EMH. We also checked out the AK EMH evening hours on 1/25 & were a little disappointed with it. It just didn't seem like there were very many attractions going & most of the restaurants/stands were closed - it took us 35 minutes to find someplace to get an ice cream snack.

We did the EMH at MK every morning & evening that they were available during our stay. These seemed busier than normal - maybe because there aren't as many morning hours at the MK anymore? Just before 9 am one morning there was a 30 minute wait posted for Space Mtn - we started to get in line & the line was backed up to the door. :earseek: We did easily finish all of Fantasyland during EMH, though.

There was only one early EMH at MGM & we did attend. Easily able to finish TOT, RNRC & the Muppets before park opening. We weren't able to make the evening ones here - although, we had wanted to originally.

We didn't attend any of the Epcot EMH - we intended to go to the evening one, but left by 8:30 because it was in the 30-40's that evening & we just got too cold to stick it out.

To us, the morning hours seemed much less crowded than the evening hours. I would definitely try to fit some of these EMH's in & try them out. Hope this helps! :)
