For those in the Northeast, whatcha doing with your snow day?

Schools are closed, dh is already outside with the snow blower cleaning up. Looks like a great day to bake a few cookies, and then some scrapbooking. I'm going to work on my Sept. trip as well.

Maine here (doesn't get more NEast than us!) My son has the day off- I have to go in and work for a few hours, it really hasn't started snowing yet though. Other than that- no plans!

Ditto! DS13 has been out since 5:30am snow blowing for neighbors - I suspect he'll have more of a paycheck til I get home from work than I will!

I have to be in for 12:00, we are opening 4 hours later than usual. I just wish the governor would close the state, we have at least 16-18 inches of snow, and it is still coming down, rapidly.
This is not going to be an easy day for me.

Definately a snow day here for the kids and me (I drive school bus) DH had the choice of staying home and using a vacation day or going into work. He chose to go to work (he's so dedicated, I tell ya)

It started snowing here around midnight and we have about 2 feet of snow as of right now. It's not supposed to stop until sometime this afternoon/tonight. Weatherman said that some areas are expected to get 3 feet or more!!!

As for what I'm doing today???? Getting ready to take my shower, get into some clean jammies, do a bit of housework/laundry and then head downstairs and SCRAPBOOK!!!! Even if I don't get much done, I'd atleast like to get some cleaning/organizing done down there.

DS has no school so I'm taking a vacation day to help him shovel us out. Then, I'm going to dream about living in a condo where someone else does the outside work!

Love snow days! Your day sound like it is off to a perfect start. We only have a 2 hours delay here. One is up and dressed and wandering around the house bored, the other is still asleep. I have to go into work too but right now enjoying some time on the disboards! Hope the next snow storm dumps enough to do the snow clearing and cookie baking here!

WORKING "New York City public schools will be open today" was the first thing I heard on the news this morning. We had a snow day last year. I'm sure we will get another one in 2018. LOL

UPDATE! just got the call that I have been hoping for! we are closed for the day. Thank God and senior management, I did not know how I was going to get out of my driveway and into the office by noon. Somebody was really thinking about the employees instead of the profit and bottom line. YEAH

It's DD's 12th birthday so she calls the shots today. We'll be watching a movie later, the kids will be headed out in the snow, we'll probably play some skip-bo and apples to apples.

DH is STILL on his drive to work. He left the house for his normally hour long drive at 5:30.

So so so glad to hear the scraping of the landscaping staff clearing our walk and driveway this morning. I love love love living in a condo.

Working. Up at 4:30 to shovel snow to get to the train into NYC. Stock markets are open and the roads aren't really bad.
