For those going to Disney soon.....what are you packing???

I'm still at a loss as to pack shorts, jeans, long sleeves, short sleeves, sleeveless.....uggghhh!!

Help me!! The last few Januarys when we have gone it has been downright COLD but then my friends in Tampa say it could be hot enough during the day for shorts. What are you all taking?? A little of everything? But for 10 days that will be so much luggage.

I'm leaving in less than a week and I am not quite sure yet. I am guessing several pairs of jeans (maybe 4 or 5) and about 5 or more pairs of shorts. Really, I'm not sure yet

I'm taking Jeans and Sweaters. I'm freezing if it's below 75!

I am going to take a few t-shirts just in case. I can handle Jeans and T-shirts in any weather.

So no, I won't be packing Shorts.

Beth, I remember last year I took A LOT of clothes!!! So I have to just find the shorts and jeans in the next day or so and decide which shirt to wear. I always have a hooded sweatshirt with me and I will have my WDW jacket for when I come and go (to keep me from freezing in Ohio). I'm lucky and comfortable in jeans in 75 degree weather and I am also comfortable in shorts and a sweatshirt in like 60 degree weather. So this time of year isn't too hard to plan for with me. I'm probably waiting a few more days to see what the final weather will be from a few other weather sites than what I can see now.

And so yeah, not to straight headed am I? And I still have to get through Thanksgiving dinner

I'm going for five nights the first week in December, and I'm planning on bring several pairs of jeans, and a pair of shorts for each of the five full days I'm going to be there. I'm bringing a sweatshirt and several lightweight long sleeved shirts. I'm also going to pack either a polar fleece jacket or a lightweight nylon jacket.

I'll also have my barn coat with me, as I'm travelling from the north and will need it to get to the airport on public transportation. I could have used that when I was there last December!

Since we're staying with my folks this weekend, we're also taking Christmas gifts and other stuff.

For the weather, I'm taking shorts, jeans and a jacket. Mom says it's been pretty mild in orlando.

Well, being that we are leaving at 8am in the morning I really SHOULD know what I am packing but I am not finished!!!
I keep checking the latest weather reports. It was cool in my part of FL this morning-maybe upper 30's and 48 right now If it is like this in the morning, I will wear jeans! But it looks like tomorrow is warmer so I am torn!!!I am taking shorts and jeans as Thanksgiving is to get up to 79.
I really think you have to wait until a few days before and check the reports, but you still will want to take shorts and pants as the weather reports do change ! And we ARE taking our swimsuits. We swam at WL 2 Dec ago as it was in the 70's and the heated pool was perfect. Looks like it is going to be the same this week. Will be at AKL!

Jeans and sweatshirts, holycow! I stared packing last night and did not put one pair of jeans in for DD, DS or me!!! Do you really think we should take some jeans? I planned on packing a light weight jacket for each of us. I did put in light weight long pants and long sleeve T-shirt for each of the kids.

Brrrr you guys are making me cold! (not that I am not already cold here in Ohio)LOL!

LL Bean and Landsend sell these. I have one and it's great. It's about mid-thigh length. It's made of sturdy canvas with a flannel lining. It comes in many colors. I've had mine for almost 10 years. It's great for cool but not cold weather.

We may wear jeans tomorrow if it is cool in our area(north FL). We will probably be ok in shorts Thursday. Temps can fluctuate and I know central FL is always much warmer than us. Yes, throw in a pair of jeans! I would not bother with sleeveless or sandals for this week. I don't want to start the day at 50 degrees on Friday in that. Not sure what next week is like.

CEDmom I just have to say how gorgeous your little girl is! I love that picture!!

I'm a very very hot natured person so I'm getting the shorts out. I had such a good tan in September now I look like a Ghost....hope people don't run screaming from me...LOL!

I just got off the phone with my friend who is Florida this week. She said they were sitting by the pool in jeans and fleece type pull on sweatshirts. They have mostly had mid 70's weather but it is overcast and cooler today. She also said that the evenings have been breezy and they have needed their sweatshirts.

I hope that helps...I know it helped me. I will have to pack some jeans and sweatshirts for the kids!!

JAP - you should definately pack some jeans and a couple of sweatshirts, unless you are one of those people that is unusually warm all the time. I just about froze to death at night when I was in Orlando in December, both in 2000 and 2002. It gets VERY chilly at night, and some days are cold too, particularly when the sun isn't shining. I brought sandels and never wore them, but a couple of days I did wear a short sleeve top with jeans. Never did it get warm enough for shorts. Maybe it was those particular years, I was surprised at how cold it got in Fla. in December and will never make the mistake of going again without the right clothing.

You should be prepared for all types of weather! I am less than 30 mins from Disney and we are still in shorts and open toed shoes. The highs are any where from 76-86 for the next week. But, we can have a random "cold" day at any time (I think todays high is in the 60's--but do not be fooled it is not cool out side). During the evening you will probably want at least at sweatshirt and on some nights jeans. Better safe than sorry, unless you are looking for an excuse to give Mickey some $$ for a sweatshirt (or a short sleeve shirt depending on which way you pack ).

Regardless of the weather, it will probably be warmer than where you are coming from and you will have a great time!

We're wearing jeans and sweatshirts on the plane and we're taking an extra pair of jeans and sweatshirts. The rest I have is shorts and t-shirts. And of course bathing suits! It's freezing here in Ohio today. 30! So 65 will be beautiful to us!

I also threw in our raincoats as well as ponchos. The forecast for this weekend and next week says highs in the 70's and lows in the 60's.

I can't wait to get there....................................
