What are you packing? Do I need to pack shorts for the day and pants and sweatshirts for evenings? I just don't know and I'd like to pack as little as possible. TIA!
I'm going to check the forcast right before leaving, but since I'm staying almost 2 weeks I know that I'll need to bring a variety of clothes. I'm bringing a couple pairs of shorts, a couple pairs of pants and some capris. I'll wear short sleeve shirts and bring sweatshirts and a lightweight jacket. For my son I'm bringing t-shirts, a pair of jeans, a couple pairs of zip-off pants and a few pairs of shorts.
We pack basically 2 or3 of everything -
3 shorts
3 pants
3 t -shirts
etc, etc.
Then, since we stay in a 1BR at OKW when we get back to the room at night, we throw all our stuff in the washer (along with the Shout dye catcher sheets LOVE THEM!) and Run the washer everyother day - (for a shorter trip its 2 of everything) We usually go when the weather is changeable so this has really worked out great for us. If we did not have the washer/dryer in our room, I dont know what I would do.
We are going Friday. The forcast for Friday to the following Friday, is basicly highs 73 - 80, lows in the 50's. You can get very cold times and hot. The temps above are more like normal. I usually check weather.com and accuweather.com for Kissimmee, FL. I hope this helps. Have a great and magical trip.
Clothes we can layer,we have been first part of December each year since 1992 and have encountered all types of weather. So we put a few light jackets and sweat shirt in park locker that we can put on if it starts to get cool.
We're packing 3 pairs of shorts, 1 pair of pants (wearing another), 5-7 T shirts and a sweatshirt each for Dh and I. For my Dd (22 mos) I'm packing 3 pairs of pants (she'll also wear another pair), 11 shorts/t shirt outfits and 2 sweatshirts. Dd tends to get pretty dirty very quickly. We'll have access to a washer/dryer but I don't really want to do any laundry on vacation.
Coming from Upstate NY, we'll also have our heavy winter coats and stuff with us.
I've been checking the weather and it looks like it will be warm (shorts) during the day and cooling off at night. I've pulled out shorts and t-shirts for the day and sweatshirts to put on in the evening. If it cools off even more, I've got pants and jeans pulled out.
I'm going to keep checking the weather in case I need to change the packing!
We just returned from 4 days at WDW today. The weather was beautiful - high 70's - 80 w/a light breeze. It was supposed to be 83 today after we left Thurs. night it was 44 degrees. A little chilly. I wore a heavy fleece and shorts while we walked around. We watched the 10 day forecast on TV last night. This next week said partly cloudy each day. Weather around 80. I don't remember the evening temps, but I would bring a heavy fleece at least.
I would prepare for it to be warm during the day (shorts, t-shirts) and chilly at night (khakis, sweatshirts). I think this time of year is perfect Disney weather! Enjoy!
