For those considering Deluxe AP's....

If they're available online, I've yet to find them. I think they were a long time ago, but not since. :(

Just called the San Francisco Costco and they said they're only available in SoCal. I'm not giving up yet, though. I wants me another AP! My collection feels incomplete!

For those flying into SNA, the Tustin Costco was easy to stop at before going to DL. It only took us a few minutes to purchase them.

I haven't found them in any Nor Cal Costco and I called several in our area.

Just to let everyone know, too, that when we talked to one of the managers about the AP's, she said that they only got about 50 of them, compared to the last AP's they had on the floor which was a few hundred she said..

So get 'em while they're hot folks!

I used this deal last Oct. so obviously my ap will expire then...is it worth it to buy a new Costco voucher and activate it when the old one expires? Or is there a renewal discount that might make it better to wait?

Last year we decided not to renew because the only deal we were offered if I recall correctly was an extra percentage off merchandise for one day. We decided to just wait until we were ready to take another trip and save on days instead of stuff we probably wouldn't buy anyway.

That is a most reasonable and rationale conclusion. I completely agree.

I remember being offered like 20 bucks off both annual passes if I renewed right then and there..I'm guessing they don't do this anymore?

Forgive me if this has been covered, but I just want to be clear:

I may want to grab these APs for our next trip in September. Can we buy the APs now and activate them in September?

Thanks in advance!

You can do that, Hester. You have until Oct. 31st to activate the AP with these new ones. :)

Yes, they do still offer the $20 off AP to renew. I just got my renewal form in the mail. It also offered a chance to get an AP with a "special" picture on it, and coupon for 20% off when you spend $50. We will not renew until next summer so we can get two years of summer trips out of it. Hopefully they will have the Costco deal then but guess we'll see. It is a better deal to get the Costco AP than only the $20 savings by renewing right away.

Thanks for the information on renewal vs new Costco ap! I'd like a new Costco ap but it means I'll have to go in October ;).

Aww MAAAAAAAAAN! I didn't get the Costco deal because I haven't moved to Cali yet and don't have a membership. Yesterday my mom told me that she and my dad were going to get me a membership, but I was impatient and got the AP already. Oh well, you win some and you lose some.

I've never taken advantage of the $20 discount. Doing so makes the expiration date 1 year from original AP's expiration date and not the date of renewal. Since I visit about once every month or two I wait until the next visit to renew so months aren't wasted.

You're right, the Costco $50 card is a better deal anyways. Seems every 6 months Disney issues new Costco AP's. So people that don't plan on renewing until after October (current Costco AP cutoff date) shouldn't worry, my bet is they'll have new ones for the remainder of the year.

Excuse my ignorance, but are the AP prices the same for adults and kids? I saw them at my Costco the other day but didn't pay attention. We are planning a summer trip and I know I'll want to go again soon. It pays off to go at least twice right?

I'm so happy to hear they came out with new ones with a new expiration date!
