For the rides with water can I change into flipflops?

Hi ,

I was thinking that before we rode the rides with water DH and I would change into flip flops and the kids into water shoes. I hate walking around with wet shoes. I was just wondering if flip flops are permitted on the rides? Thank you.

Indeed they are allowed. Just rent a locker and put the unused shoes in there for the time being.

Yes, the only thing is, it means you're carrying them around the entire time. Flip Flops are not good for walking around in the park for a long time, your feet will get tired.
The only ride that will soak your shoes is Popeye. The rest are fine. On Popeye, put them in the middle after you get your seat belt on. If you can't take off your shoes in time, hold your feet up for most of the ride, as a foot of water can come rushing in.

Or you bring an extra pair of shoes that are old, knowing they will get soaked, then go back to your hotel room or the locker to change.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't know that your feet would only get soaked on Popeye. I may just hold them up the whole time.

Sometimes a huge wall of water will come pouring over from behind you. Even keeping your feet up won't stop them from getting wet. The boat can also get very turbulant and you need to keep your feet down to stay balanced. I think you will enjoy your ride more if you just wear sandals. We don't wear special water sandals but just normal sandals. They dry very quickly.
