I am planning a trip to Universal the week of March 20th-spring break. I really want to know how long it takes to do Universal and IOA. We are staying on -site so we'll have FOTL access. We also plan to go to Discovery Cove and Sea World-1 day each is what I gather. We arrive on Saturday and I don't know whether to leave on Thursday or Friday- If we leave Thursday we have 1 day at each place but I thought we may want to go back to universal or even hop over to Magic Kingdom-since we haven't been there in 4 years. any thoughts???

One day for Universal. One day for IOA. One day for Seaworld. One day for Discovery Cove. One day to go back and redo what you like the best at Universal and IOA. A perfect vacation.

I'm not a pro - 5 times to Florida.... but I feel I need a minimum of 3 days between Universal/IOA and if you want to do Citywalk, shops, restaurants too, Shows and have a "pool morning"..add on another day at least. After the first time can do Magic Kingdom and Epcot in a day to just revisit the best bits, and a Seaworld/Discovery in 1 day too if you just want to revisit the best bits. But at Universal/IOA - it's ALL best bits - it's very difficult to leave any out!!:)

We stayed 3 days and did not find it enough. I could've stayed at least 5 days, but I am a die hard fan!

I've been to Universal and IOA many many times (see siggy) and still 2-day trips aren't long enough. :) Of course, I practically do the same thing everyday...but that's aside the point!!!! :p

I'm going for my first 4-day trip for my birthday...woohoo!!! :bounce:

Fly Fly,

When's your birthday? Happy birthday!

My birthday isn't until November 11. :)

Forget those lame Sweet 16 parties...I'm gonna go to Universal instead!! :p

My school has Veteran's Day off (even though it's a Tuesday) and I'll take off Monday, and have a nice long trip. I can't wait! lol, though I do have a few trips before then...but I'm hoping I'll be able to finally stay onsite again (past few times were offsite, but it wasn't too bad)

Not a pro either - 4th time this October - but I'm with Damo. Last time we did a day at US, a day at IOA and then on our last day we came back and did the best bits again. I suspect it will be 4 days at US/IOA this time!

I dare only say this on this board, but I'd pass up on Disney to do US/IOA (especially IOA) if my time was limited. Also if you are staying on site this seems the only sensible thing to do!

Have a great trip.

I *might* stay onsite for my birthday trip...though I might stay onsite for only one of those nights...depends on money (I told my parents I'd rather go for 4 consecutive days than stay onsite and go for 2 days...hehe). :teeth:

Good and sensible planning on your part. But I don't think I could do it. I've been spoiled with FOTL. But you don't need it for the Ghostbusters now do you? ;)
