As noted in another thread, my last visit was to a value resort. Don't remember bus stops at SSR (or other more upscale properties). Don't remember motor launch stops there, either. What has been your experience with transportation to the various attractions from this property? And can you get anywhere by water transport? And is there a playground for young kids? My grandkids are still small.

They have a great pool area and things for the kids and the only place you can get to by water is Downtown Disney.
Also I think the bus service is good at all the places I have ever stayed. With SSR resort you dont have to share a bus with any other resorts so that cuts down on your time.

Good to know. No playground?

Yes, there are playgrounds near each of the pools at the resort in addition to the Community Hall area already described with games, etc. There are also organized children's activities at all DVC resorts.

SSR has bus service to all WDW Resorts, Water Parks and DownTown Disney. There is also a boat that goes from SSR to DD and OKW on a regular schedule thru the day and DD is also close enough for an easy walk over a nice walkway.

FYI, there are many SSR contracts available through The Timeshare Store that are offered at lower per point prices than direct through Disney. You'll want to compare it to any promotions Disney offers, but once purchased the benefits are the same.
