? For photopass+ experts...

Thanks for all the comments. Adam, you'll have to let us know when your package arrives...

Apologies if this is a duplicate of something someone else has posted as I haven't skimmed through the whole thread again just now. For those who pre-purchased the photo cd, this is the reply I have just received from Photopass:

Thank you for your interest in our new PhotoPass+ pre-order offer!

We will be happy to upgrade your existing pre-arrival PhotoCD for the
PhotoPass+ pre-order. Please note that we are only able to upgrade
guests who are more than 14 days from the first day of their vacation.

We have contacted our billing team to have your PhotoCD credit changed into a credit for $99.95. Please allow up to 48 hours for this change to take place. Once you see the $99.95 credit in your shopping cart, you may proceed to check out with the PhotoPass+ pre-order. The credit will remove $99.95 from the cost of this item. The PhotoPass+ Pre-Order offer must be purchased more than 14 days prior to your arrival date.

Once you have pre-ordered PhotoPass+, you will receive a PhotoPass+ package in the mail within 14 days. This package consists of a
PhotoPass+ CD case, which contains a Disney's GalleryCD and a promotion
code to redeem online after your vacation for a Disney's PhotoCD, along with a voucher to redeem in the park for your PhotoPass+ card. Please note that you only need to bring the voucher with you on your vacation in order to exchange it for a PhotoPass+ card at any of our view locations.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Hope this helps. Some of us have pre purchased the CD only, some have done a pre-order package with the photobook and others simply want to buy the PP+ so hopefully this helps outline the procedure for those who did a simple CD pre-purchase.

If this is repetitive, please feel free to remove the post to avoid confusion.

Ok, so by pre ordering the photopass at $99 before the price increase was absolutely pointless if I want to upgrade, as I'll have to now pay the difference?

I found really helpful Thanks:hug: I emailed yesterday so hopefully mine will be as easy.

The Contact Us link on the normal Photopass web page. I simply gave them my name, registered photopass email address as on the account and my order number which I lifted from my original confirmation email when I ordered.

Great info, thanks. I've just sent a message requesting an upgrade credit, although it does rather negate my hurried pre-order at $99 before the price rise. Oh well!

We love the ride photos. Try and do as many silly photos as possible. Got the kids well trained - they instinctively do Jazz Hands going down any steep slope now :rotfl2:. So getting proper records of all these for effectively $70 is good value in my book. Already training up for a YMCA on Tower of Terror :).

Yeah I agree, it'll add a new dimension to the rides, we've got some great Test Track ones from a couple of years ago. I'd love to see the YMCA ones:rotfl2: Perhaps we need to set up a new thread - best ride photos!

Just bought my upgrade to the "plus" option :banana:

Just as the nice Disney lady told me yesterday the $99.95 credit was in my account and I just applied it to my purchase of the photopass +. As predicted it was $70 with no tax as it was an online purchase :goodvibes

Now I suppose we wait for the voucher :confused3

Just to update our photopass+ CD gallery and voucher arrived yesterday.

Does anyone know when you collect the photopass+ card can you request more than 1 ? The reason I ask is that I can see the boys going off to say RnR whilst DH and I hang around and if both groups gets a photopass photo we will want them all on the photopass+ card

You can't get more than one PP+ card but what you can do is to get them to note down their ride photo number and you have (I forget exactly how long but I think) 48 hours to go and collect them. They seem to have catered for families splitting up but they are trying to make it a hassle for photopass shares

What do you think of your Gallery CD? I was so chuffed with mine. Not sure if this one is slightly different as I purchased mine in 2010 but it was one of my best souvies from that trip!

Ok I realised I couldn't go another evening without looking so I've seen the first 35 pics and all I have to say is WOW !!! they are STUNNING !!! Some amazing photography if the rest of them are as good then that's worth the upgrade in its self :cool1::cool1:

The CD is worth $40 plus tax and that is what I paid for it so when they give the value, it is a true value based on what that CD costs to purchase online or in the parks. It was definitely one of my most treasured purchases and I've had some much use out of the images

I guess it must be the Texas heat or maybe I'm just going through Mickey withdrawals but I have a question. I hope this hasn't been asked already, but....if I am going to WDW in January 2013, :yay: can I prepurchase the photopass now? I want to get everything taken care of soon and I'd like to get this out of the way. Do you think the price will change just like everything else does? Oops, that's 2 questions! Dang Texas heat!! Gotta blame it on something! :rolleyes1

Sounds better than English rain! :)

My understanding is you are fine to buy in advance - I bought in February for our end of october trip but am going to upgrade to photopass+

I'd be happy to do a house swap if you're interested. You can have the rain and cool weather and I'll take the heat (and Collin Street Bakery :cool1:) anyday!

I've always bought way in advance - usually close on a year and it's fine. Your Photopass Plus card does not activate until you actually exchange your voucher for the physical card, which you can only do once you arrive at WDW. That in itself should offer some reassurance. The same goes for regular Photopass - your card will not activate until you actually have the first imaged scanned onto it. The credits remain just that - a credit on your account and there is no expiry on this. Hope that helps :goodvibes

Help! I didn't realise they sent you stuff out that you had to take with you!

Do I have enough time to pre-order - I leave Glasgow to go to Manchester on Thursday 2nd August???
