Well, I have lost about 40 lbs since about April.....(LOW CARB!!!!!....the ONLY WAY!!)....Anyway.......anyone else that has lost weight....do you feel "colder" in these cold winter months coming upon us??? I have always been one to be always "hot" and now....I am freezing. I have gotten comments from a few people that could be the reason I am so cold lately....just wondered if anyone else has experienced this.........

well....fat under the skin does act an a form or 'insulation' from the cold...and you might be experiencing that...also...the better your circulatory system is...the less likely is that this will bother you....depending on how you lost weight...perhaps more 'cardio' exericse might help you to avoid that type of feeling! :)

Lisa, everyone who knows me has commented on this with me. I never ever used to wear a winter coat...I would wear a fleece zippered sweatshirt as a coat all winter. The cold never bothered me. This year, I have already taken out my winter jacket. I shiver in the mornings and I am always cold. So, you are definitely not alone. That so far is the only draw back of the 67 lbs I have lost :)

Glo......I did mean to post to your post the other day....CONGRATS to you....I know this is bad...but I usually won't post when there is more than a page or 2.....figure people don't read anymore responses....hope you are reading this one........Isn't the low carb the easiest...and the best!!! I don't think there is any "dying on a diet".....except the first week....but after that...smooth sailing...I think I can live like this for the rest of my life. The site of noodles, bread, rice and potatoes are nothing to me know...and I use to just LOVE them!!!....Eat just plain bread for snacks....and quite a few pieces........

Anyway...You do look great!!! It is hard for me, myself to tell the difference but is nice when my friends, etc....make comments to me......and plus I am down from a 14 jeans to an 8 or 10 (depending on the brand;) )......

Also, my kids saw a pic of me in my bathing suit at Castaway Cay in 2000.....they are 6 and 9....and they were practically falling on the floor laughing about "how big mom was"...and you know, I still didn't see the difference after looking at it.......

Higher heating bills...here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG...I feel so much better...people yell at me about that all the time. I really can not see the difference. I did notice while I did that thread, but I still see me BIG...

The diet is so easy after you go through the carb withdrawl...lol

Keep up the good work...I will be rooting for ya, and only 8 more pounds left for me!!!

hugs

I have taken off 20 lbs on low carb. I always have been inclined to get cold during the winter... susceptible to drafts... and hate having my extremities get cold. It is blowing a gale wind right now and the temp is supposed to get down to 18 degrees tonight... so I will be sleeping with my socks on tonight! LOL!

Hehe, it hasn't gotten cold enough around here for me to tell yet.:) We are supposed to have 'some' cooler temps later this week, so I reckon I'll find out then.
Kim

I've always been cold, but I know what I should do now, thanks Glo. :)

I have noticed the same thing since I lost a lot of weight, just plain colder.

same here...i lost about 30lbs last year (have since put it back on due to laziness!) just by watching what i ate and exercising and i am now always cold...hubby told me last night that it looks like it's time for me to start wearing socks to bed again...
