Well, we stayed in the Vistana Resort in 2001, this year we were at the Hilton Grand vacation club, and it looks like for 2003 we'll be staying at Orange Lake. My timeshare rental pal got me a great rate on a 2 bedroom for President's week 2003. So, I'm looking to my fellow Dis pals to provide me with any helpful hints on visiting Orange Lake. I have heard it was a nice place. We are getting a two bedroom unit, is there more then one style? I'm not a golfer so I won't be doing that. The kids are 13, 10, and 3 in age. We'll be looking to hang out and enjoy the resort. Any special buildings? Things to do? Thanks for the help.

I haven't been there myself but I understand there are several sections with different views and floorplans. It's a large, spread-out resort. Based on things that I've read (and the ages of your children), I'd request a unit located close to either the main clubhouse & pool area or close to the newest pool area w/water slide. The section with villas overlooking golf are not within walking distance of a pool. They do have an internal shuttle within the resort because of this. There is apparently enough to do at this Gold Crown resort that some families hardly leave all week and many return yearly. Seems like a fun place. Don't recall much more, sorry. Here's the website for OLCC - Orange Lake Resort & Country Club. HTH. :)

Call Orange Lake or e-mail them at the web site. Request the the latest copy of the Orange Lake Today Flyer. It has ALL the info that you may need for the resort. It has a map , ticket prices etc. Very helpful.

We'll be there the same week. We also don't golf and plan to use the pools lots as well as the beach.... It's a beautiful resort - we toured it last time we were there. We also got a great deal through friends who are timeshare owners... Maybe we'll see you there....

The Orange Lake Website looks great! Can non timeshare owners rent it by the week without sitting through a presentation? My husband refuses to ever sit through one.

on this site. I posted numerous times before and after my May 2002 trip.....

You should find a lot. I may actually try and find and bump for you......
