For my next trick: pick a flight, any flight

Haha. Well maybe not ANY flight.

I am currently looking to visit for a weekend in the next few weeks. I am relatively flexible on dates.

I have a few different flight options that I am a bit torn about. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Option 1: Flying into MCO and out of Sanford. Friday flight would arrive at around 3:30. Sunday flight would leave around 9 am. I'm not super crazy with this option, because essentially Sunday would be useless. Couldn't even do an early breakfast if I wanted to. The pro is I do like that at least one of the flights would be through MCO.

Option 2: Flying into St. Pete on a Thursday afternoon, arriving in the evening. Same Sunday flight through Sanford at 9 am. I like this one, as it does give me some extra time. I am on the fence about doing a park, but this would definitely open up that option. I'm not thrilled about flying through St. Pete. But....in the grand scheme of things, it isn't a TON further away than SFB. I'm still not crazy about the 9 am return time, but as an option, there IS a return flight through St. Pete, not until 1:30 pm. So, we'll consider this 2a and 2b. The only thing with 2b, is there would be the added cost of a car rental for the return trip. I should be able to do the train on the way in.

Option 3: Flying into MCO on Friday evening, flying home out of MCO on Monday evening. This option would be looking at Labor Day weekend. So, we'll start right off with the negative, which was that I was kind of hoping to avoid this weekend, because of the crowds. But, also I don't know that I will be able to find rooms where I would want. I currently have a couple of different reservations in September at the BoardWalk, which is where I would hope to stay. If I move to Labor Day, it's highly likely that won't be an option, and I would be looking at SSR if anything. This flight will also probably end up being about twice the price as the other options. The positive is this flight both flies in and out of MCO. The mixed bag is that I don't love that the incoming flight doesn't get in till 10:30 pm. But, the return flight home is at 5:30 pm, which gives me a good chunk of time to use on Monday. Essentially 2 full days and a 3/4 day.

I know the ultimately it's up to me, and no one knows my heart. But....if it were you, which one would you do, and why?

Can't help with the various airport opinions but FYI... Labor Day is one of the quieter times of year, at least for Disney. People assume crowds but in reality kids are just getting back to school, fall break hasn't kicked off yet and people who aren't slaves to the school schedule avoid it because it's a holiday. I would at least take a peak at room options before writing it off, Swolphin has some nice rates then.

I would choose Labor Day weekend if you can get a decently priced flight. We've been at WDW during that time frame and it wasn't super crowded. Whichever version gives you the most time at WDW without having to rent a car is the best
