In Magic Kingdom, what's the most convenient, quick restaurant for fidgety kids?

We need to be in and out. We will have a couple of Toddlers with us so I need to plan for a restaurant where can walk in, sit down and eat and go...all in 1 hour.

Please advise.

Hmm. Well, I have an almost three year old who has been to Disney World at 12 months, 18 months, 27 months and 31 months - and on each trip our favorite place to eat at the MK has been the Crystal Palace. We love the breakfast buffet (lunch and dinner don't rank as highly for us). The food is great, the atmosphere is fun, and DS loves the Pooh characters. We like to have a late breakfast around 10:30am or so. That way we can do most of Fantasyland at the 9am opening and head to breakfast (which we use as a brunch) after that. I don't think we've ever been there more than an hour.

As for counter service places, I don't have a lot of reccomendations. We tend to do mostly table service because we enjoy the break.

We have eaten at Columbia Harbour House quite a few times and we enjoy that. It's never crowded and the atmosphere is quiet and cozy - a nice break from hectic park touring. Plus, my little guy loves the chicken and fish!

We usually just do counter service type restaurants. If you are just looking for a quick meal like a hot dog and fries, try Pinnochios in fantasyland. There is also a counter service place in Tomorrowland that you can get chicken tenders/nuggets for the kids although the current name escapes me right now.

Thank you, this really does help me. I was thinking Crystal Palace. So, after you eat (brunch) at Crystal Palace... which would put you at around 11:30am or so, you continue your rides in the park?

Do you eat anywhere else in the park? Like a late lunch or early dinner or just snack? What time do you leave the park with your Toddler?

We had a few....for counter service they loved Cosmic Rays. My DD was 20 mos at the time and kept watching, there was music, and it was loud! They also ate well at Columbia Harbour House and it was quick. As for sit down, I also would say Crystal Palace. We loved going to the Plaza...good food, but it was quiet and slow.

Well, that kind of depends. What we usually do is spread our MK time out over three or so mornings.

Our first morning we like to be there in time to head straight to Fantasyland at opening. We can usually hit Dumbo, Pooh, Peter Pan, the carousel, and Small World by a bit after 10am, and that's when we break it off and head over to our 10:30am brunch at the Crystal Palace. Then, around 11:30am we do some more park touring - usually things that don't have lines: Tiki Birds, Country Bears, Philharmagic, Tom Sawyer Island, etc. We head back to our room for a nap/swim, etc. around 1:30pm. (For "lunch" we usually just grab a light something from our resort snack bar or the pool bar.) Then, we usually head back out somewhere around 6pm for dinner (usually at one of the resorts) and maybe more time at a park, Downtown Disney, the Boardwalk, etc.

This plan works really well for us. Hope that helps!

This site has a list of menus that you might find helpful if you have picky kids like mine, lol!

Thanks, that's where I've been going. I've been using it to plan a "food budget". I've also been looking at the corresponding pictures...she has lots of Crystal Palace.

So, my plan was either Pinochhio Village or Crystal Palace but I noticed the Kid's Menu had change on Pinocchio Village, which brought me back to Crystal Palace. Pinochhio Village just seemed quicker.

Crystal Palace works great. You get your food right away, and the characters entertain as they move thru the dining room. I think some of the meals at Liberty Tree Tavern are pre-plated and they serve you quickly (and have characters) so that is another option. Otherwise counter service. Avoid times when the lines are really long. In fact if it's a real zoo at the MK at lunchtime I favor leaving, having a resort meal somewhere and going back to the motel for a swim and/or snooze.

For counter service, we liked Pecos BIlls, then follow it up with a dole whip...a sure must do for us!

I usually pick where to eat based on the menu. My 2 year old is not good at Crystal Palace. He cries when the characters leave the table. He loves to eat at Columbia Harbour house. He likes the chilled chicken and cheese kid's meal. It comes with a beverage and applesauce. He also likes the hamburgers at Pecos Bills. I agree with mrstomrice, follow up counterservice with a dole whip, yum!

I likes the one in tomorrowland. Starlight cafe or whatever. Its pretty quick and they offer healthier options in my opinion.

My dd loved the food there.
