wow, that is a lot of writing

What about typing instead? THat would be a lot easier:goodvibes

Definitely would be but I bought a journal book so am writing it all in there and didn't want to tape a typed page to it ... maybe my own handwriting gives a personal touch too that might be nice?

Oh okay....thats a good point

I just know my handwriting is atrocious....:rotfl2:

Hey all! soo a while ago I saw on Janet Evanovichs website that you can send them pics of your pets and stuff.. so I sent one of a hamster that auntie got me right after I started reading the books adn since I was on the kick (and I am Stephanie ;) ) I named him rex.. so I sent in a picture of him and the put him on the website!

my rexy!!

hes at the bottom!

Tonight DH and I watched Quatum of Solace. It was ok...I really wasn't paying much attention as I wrote over 7 pages in Elie's Journal.

The last I had written in it was Oct 2008, so I had a lot to catch up on. But now I am up-to-date.

Next will be to do the same in Rachel's book. The last I wrote in hers was Sept 2008...gee, my hand is going to be tired!

I'm definitely starting to miss scrapbooking...this is the longest I've gone w/o doing it (3 months) and I can't wait to scrap Elie's pictures.

wow that is a lot of writing! But I do think the hand writing gives it a personal touch for sure :thumbsup2 I would do it that way as well.

Good Morning all! Not counting today it's only 3 days until my booty is on the road to Orlando!

How is everyone doing on this Monday? I'm okay. Kinda pissed that I forgot my purse at home but if I don't get sent on any work errands today it should be fine.

Oh no!! And she's not coming back until Sunday? The poor girl :sad2: I was really hoping she was having fun!

My poor cousin and her DH....Saturday morning her DH was brought to Celebration hospital ICU and has been there ever since!! He got pnemonia! He had been sick with a cold for a few days and somehow it got much worse. I last heard from her yesterday evening and he was improving. They were able to take him off of the oxygen. She said the resort has been absolutely WONDERFUL. They are giving her a discounted rate to extend her stay, they gave her son a Mickey stuffed animal and signed picture of Mickey and Minnie, and told my cousin whatever she needs let them know.

Also at Disney you do not have to pay for paramedics or for transportation to the hospital. I had no idea!

Here are 2 updated pics of Elizabeth -- two months old.

Yep, I had to put her in a frilly outfit!!

So beautiful!!

In the 2nd pic she really looks like DD3!

Is that your puppy?

no, that's Google's puppy.

:lmao:

Hi Ann!! Welcome to the group!! I am a newbie also. My name is Linda - I am 53 and have a wonderful DH and 2 DD (24 and 21) making me one of the "oldies" around here:cool1::cool1: I am a Teacher's Assistant and my one fantasy is to work for the Mouse:):)

Have a GREAT time!! Carla has some good ideas for you:banana:

I will be there one week from today!!!!!! CAN'T WAIT!

Beyond cute!!! She is BEAUTIFUL!!!

Hi everyone!!

I don't know where the days are going but I am losing the race against time. I seem to pop in every couple of days and hope you will still welcome me.:):)

We are in the middle of trying to refinance the house for a lower rate. Keep you fingers crossed this will all work out soon..............at least before the rate starts to climb again......ugh all the paperwork they want.

Work has been crazy - getting to be that time of year when the kids get really antsy.....I come home exhausted:rolleyes1

Went to Jenny Craig and lost another 2 lbs.:dance3::dance3: Total of 3.5 in 2 weeks. I know it will be slow coming - it took over 30 years to put over 50 lbs on.......keep good thoughts for me:):)

Kelli - how is your mom? Has she made it to you yet?

Tomorrow is a walk-a-thon at school.....at least the sun will be shining...

I feel for all of you in drought states. Wish I could send some of this excess rain to you.....we have TOO MUCH!!!!

Off to watch Grey's

Have a Magical Disney Day

congrats on continued weight loss!

OMG! Wow wow wow! I feel so bad for them! :sad2: Glad to hear that your cousin's DH is improving though. That is just the pits :( Glad Disney is being so good to them about giving them a discounted rate and all. I just can't imagine how awful that must be to have to deal with on vacation. Ugh!

He was being very nice. I just couldn't hate him.:lmao:

Sorry, I was in the shower.

She got me a lighter that was shaped like a coffin. It has a scary skull on it. I love it so much. Bryan says it is refillable, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet.

glad Bryan was a good boy

that's great! Sounds so cool!

Oops, looks like I just missed you.

I got our Disney confirmation in the mail yesterday -- woo hoo!!!

Also, not sure if I updated you all, but my ear finally unclogged after 10 days. Sharky called that one exactly!!

oh, finally!! good!

:lmao: I just had to share--

Today I saw a HUGE dog in a teeny tiny car, and when I looked back, it had stuck it's head out of the sunroof! So I see this car, and then this huge dog head... oh it was so funny! I wish I had taken a picture!!!

hehehe, next time take a pic with your cell phone if it takes pics. I guess maybe there won't be a next time...fat chance huh

Better than I had expected. I've got great kids. :lovestruc

So.... I'm pricing AP's. I was looking the other day on the official disney site (shudder) and I was liking the price of the "seasonal" pass but it said blackout days apply and then, of course :sad2:, it didn't say what days those are. Ugh.

But thanks to the genius of wdwinfo I now know it is only Dec. 22 to Jan 3. Big deal! I wouldn't go again during that time... been there, done that. :scared:

Here is the run down: Regular, non hopper, resident AP's are 316. Premium are 479. Seasonal is only 239!!!

And I just learned that when you buy them the next year you pay a *renewal* price that is cheaper. :thumbsup2

Plus QM sent me 10% off coupons!!!

Going with the seasonal pass instead of the regular AP would save me about 500 bucks.

I am thinking I am going to like living in FL! :woohoo:

glad it went well!

ooh that's cool!! good price!

OK, Love...here is the info on the seasonal pass. As you can see, there are many dates (Easter, Summer and Christmas) where you can't get in. You may not want to go anyway due to crowds, but it is something to consider.

Also, note that parking is not included. This is like $10/$11/day so you need to factor that into your costs...depending how often you go, you may want to upgrade.

Florida friends of mine use the seasonal pass but one person buys the regular one to get the free parking.

====================

Florida Resident Seasonal Pass - A Seasonal Pass that entitles you to admission to Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park except during the following blackout dates:

April 4 to 17, 2009
June 6 to August 13, 2009
December 19, 2009 to January 1, 2010

Note that the Seasonal Pass does include a subscription to the Mickey Monitor newsletter but does NOT include complimentary theme park parking. For current pricing information, visit our Ticket Chart page.

oh that stinks. But still a good deal. Those dates are so crowded anyway...

Sure. I followed every second of it. ;) Thanks for the synopsis!

Bingo! Yes, that is exactly what I was talking about! I remembered some of y'all from that thread. :goodvibes

Gotcha. :thumbsup2 And thanks for the welcome!

I hope y'all don't mind if I join in from time to time. My name's Lauren, but everyone on here calls me PJ because of my username. I'll answer to either! I live in middle of nowhere Indiana and I am an elementary school teacher during the school year and a hostess at Chef Mickey's during the summer. It's nice to "meet" all of you! :)

hi! I'm Cheri. I'm 27 and live in Louisiana. (too far from the Mouse :headache:)

We're just doing work around the house. Going to watch the Pimlico/Preakness horse race to see if my daughter's "horse" wins. (A horse has the same name as my daughter and is in the 13th spot. My DD was born on the 13th, too. I really should place a bet on the horse...)

Then tonight is Movie night and my DD has picked out "The Piglet Movie". fun, fun.:headache:

oh you should TOTALLY BET!!

oh wait did that already happen?

Oh, I didn't realize you had a DD in WDW? What does she do in MK?

Yep, I heard that...and guess what??

Rachel Alexandra beats 12 colts and is the first filly to win the big race in 85 years. We watched the race...it was pretty exciting..thought she might not make it...one of the horses all the way in the back came up to make 2nd place...almost beat "our" horse.

I know...I know...the things I do for my daughter...actually, it is kind of cute...I even laughed aloud at a few parts. We'll finish the movie tomorrow night.

oh my gosh, PLEASE tell me you bet!!

I found this thread on Moms and 2nd Child and thought I'd share with you (for whatever it's worth)

It really does explain a lot of what I've been going through these past 2 months...and my older daughter, too. I'm guess I'm glad to get some sort of validation for my "guilt" over not having time for DD3 and resenting DD#2 at times.

Anyway, thank you my friends for helping to keep me sane these last 2 months...

------

As I hold your 2-year-old hand,
basking in the glow of our magical relationship,
I suddenly feel a kick from within,
as if to remind me that our time alone is limited.
And I wonder:
How could I ever love another child as I love you?

Then he is born, and I watch you.
I watch the pain you feel at having to share me,
as you've never shared me before.
I hear you telling me in your own way,
"Please love only me."
And I hear myself telling you in mine,
"I can't," knowing, in fact, that I never can again.
You cry. I cry with you.
I almost see our new baby as an intruder
on the precious relationship we once shared.
A relationship we can never quite have again.
But then, barely noticing,
I find myself attached to that new being,
and feeling almost guilty.
I'm afraid to let you see me enjoying him.
-- as though I am betraying you.
But then I notice your resentment change,
first to curiosity, then to protectiveness,
finally to genuine affection.
More days pass, and we are settling into a new
routine.

The memory of days with just the two of us is fading
fast.
But something else is replacing
those wonderful times we shared, just we two.
There are new times -- only now, we are three.
I watch the love between you grow,
the way you look at each other,
touch each other.
I watch how he adores you -- as I have for so long.
I see how excited you are by each of his new accomplishments.
And I begin to realize that I haven't taken something from you,
I've given something to you.
I notice that I am no longer afraid to share my love openly with both of you.
I find that my love for each of you is as different as you are, but equally strong.

And my question is finally answered,
to my amazement..
Yes, I can love another child as much as I love you--
only differently.
And although I realize that you may have to share my time,
I now know you'll never share my love.
There's enough of that for both of you
-- you each have your own supply.
I love you -- both
and I thank you both for blessing my life.

:sad1: That made me cry

wow

Do any of you guys use a food dehydrator? I just won one off of ebay, and I'm excited to try it!!!

Someone I work with just said "son of a beaver!" OMG- too funny...:lmao:

A dehydrator?? hmmm....nope can't say I've used or seen one of those.

Hey Chica's :wave2:

How is everyone? I'm back home from visiting my parents...had a nice visit but I like sleeping in my own bed. I sent out a pic from our Dismeet the other night, if I forgot to send it to anyone, just let me know! If any of the new girls would like to see it, I'll send it on to you too!

I will admit I have not really gone back and read

It was so nice here on Friday and by today the heat has to be running :confused3 So sick of the weather!

Hope you all are having a nice weekend!

Forgot to add that I couldn't send to you Cheri...your PM box is full.

oops....that was Nikki's fault...:rolleyes1

:rotfl:

I cleaned it out a bit now. :goodvibes

Thanks for the picture Betsy. I'm really glad y'all had fun.

You have the HEAT on!?!? WTH!!?? It's May!! That's just nuts. I hope the warm weather returns back for you.

crazy thing is we have a cool front here that came through last night. We were in shorts and actually had to put the heater on in the car late last night.

Awesome!

Yeah, we will slowly get there :rolleyes1

I have no clue! StinkerBelle is watching Scooby Doo (new obession) and I'm just surfing the net. I may try to make an appointment to get an airbrush tan today. I am supposed to go tomorrow but would love to get in today...I'm a little nervous :hyper: I don't want to be pasty white for my brother's wedding next month so I'm giving this a try. If it looks ok, then I'll go back next month right before the wedding.

Are you guys just hanging out or do you have plans to do something?

ooh did ya already do it? If not I have some tips (and I assume you are referring to the Mystic tan)

First, you must exfoliate all over really well before you go. Second, do EXACTLY what they tell you to do. Hopefully the people are trained well and give good instructions. Finally, the most important thing is to stand far enough back in the booth so that you don't end up all streaky.

The thing that scared me the most about trying the Mystic tan was people that told me they came out all streaky. I later learned that it was b/c they didn't follow directions and stood too close to the sprayers.

oooo love Scooby Doo. I'm watching I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry. Not Adam's best work but it's okay. Ah hope the air brushing thing. A friend of mine did hers the day before my wedding and she turned out pretty orange in all of my wedding pictures but she looked fine the day after that so my advice would be that if you're going to do it do it at least 2 days before his wedding and you should be fine. Plus that was 6 years ago so I'm sure they've profected the air brush tan a little better. Since you still have a month to go before the wedding you could always try that tanning lotion that gradually tans you. Have you tried that before? I've been wanting to but I can't bring myself to spend $10 on it.

I got bored of that stuff. I never noticed a change but then again I didn't use it long!

I noticed Lee Lee has NOT been online here or FB in bit, so I sent her a text

She said She has had lot of Dr appts and her internet has not been working right.

They switched service so hopefully she will pop on tnite or tomorrow night

:goodvibes

oh thanks for the update on her!

oh man how'd you do that? Mine is practically attached to my shoulder!

yeah, she said she's never seen this side of Disney before but wow!

OMG! Wow wow wow! I feel so bad for them! :sad2: Glad to hear that your cousin's DH is improving though. That is just the pits :( Glad Disney is being so good to them about giving them a discounted rate and all. I just can't imagine how awful that must be to have to deal with on vacation. Ugh!

And they can't even afford to pay anymore so his parents are going to pay the bill when it's over (they were supposed to check out yesterday for their vacation so from last night and on). The resort is not making her pay up front either, they told her just whenever she leaves.

At least Nathan is not missing school--he rode back yesterday with my aunt and them

yeah we have the same front coming through here too. I'm actually in long sleeves today.

:rotfl: every time I think about a spray tan I think of the one Ross got on Friends. Did you see that episode!? I laugh my A$$ off every time I see it :lmao:

SEe....that's what I was afraid of and then I'd be pissed that I wasted $10. :headache:

:confused3

That's so great that they are being so good to her. And that's good that her parents are helping with the bill. Thank God they went with them so they could help out

I'm always in long sleeves at work. I'm especially freezing today! I think I will run somewhere at lunch JUST to get out of this icebox!

no I don't think I did. I'll have to watch that link later!

Yeah. It's HIS parents paying for the hotel. Her mom(and fiance) is the one that went with them but they left yesterday to go home and took Nathan (her 7 y/o) with them.
I guess his parents are going to pay the hotel by phone whenever my cousin checks out. I hope it's not too much longer. I want him to get better but I also really miss her!

Yeah it's really funny. I know you'll laugh out loud for sure.

Oooo okay I was mistaken. My bad. Well, that's nice of his parents to help them out like that then.

Awwww I hope she gets to go home soon too.
