LeeLee I just know Braeton gave you a great mother's day as did Tyler. Hope everyone is well and you had a great day!

If I missed anyone I am sorry I am just trying to post quick before something else goes wrong!

My computer died, as you all know, now last night Bryan's computer, which was newer than mine totally died, so we got out my really old one that was given to me from an old company I worked for and the mouse didn't work but Bryan was able to get it working so don't know for how long! I gotta get a job so I can afford a new computer! I don't know what I'll do if I can't get online at all! :scared1:

We stopped for two days on the border of GA and TN. We stayed in Trenton, GA, unfortunately too far to go visit Carla. We've been to the Incline Railway which scared the bejesus out of me!:scared1: It was so steep that when you got in the car you literally sat nearly on your back the way the seats are situated so that as you start up the incline at that 72.5% grade you eventually are facing not only forward but you can actually look straight out the roof of the car which is all glass. I was almost having a heart attack. We also went up the Look Out Mtn Road to the top of the mountain on this really windy mountain road and I have never been so scared in my life, not even driving over the mtn in Bedford, PA! The macadam road is two narrow lanes, one each way, the white line on the outer side of the lanes and literally less than 6 inches of macadam and then nothing, it drops straight down the mtn. If you go off the side of the road you will end up in a heap at the bottom of the mtn. They didn't even have guard rails on a lot of the road. It was freaking scary! The only funny part was we started up the hill in TN and then suddenly we crossed into GA on that windy road and then further up we crossed back over in to TN. Off and on all day we were in and out of one state and back in the other!

Finally we went to Ruby Falls, you go down an elevator a couple hundred feet and then you get out and walk thru this cave to a depth of 1120 feet to this absolutely breathtaking undergrounde waterfall which is 145 feet high.

Hey Mom

Bummer about your computer. Hopefully when you get back you can get a good job and get a new one

Sounds like a fun, but skeery day for you :scared1:

Glad you are having a nice time on your trip:lovestruc

So, Steve and Trent just gave me my mother's Day Present.

They made a picture collage of pics of Trent and Trent and Steve from year he was born to present on a DVD and put the most awesome song on it...

It is a remix of Somewhere over the rainbow and What a wonderful World...

It was done by a Hawaiian man who passed away this past year I believe. You should be able to find it on youtube by typing those two songs together

It is such an amazing song :lovestruc

Hey, doing my weekly drive by post.

If I'm thinking of the same song you're talking about, that's the same version they played on the episode of ER when Dr. Greene died. It was so sad and if I watch it on reruns, I still bawl my eyes out. I don't think I can listen to that song.:lmao:

Happy Mommy's day to everyone. Hope everyone had a nice day.

Mine was okay. I got the hubby to agree to go see Static X with me (guilted him into it) next Tuesday. I'm paying, but didn't have anyone else to go with and didn't want to go by myself (read - I didn't want to drive to Pittsburgh so I suckered him into doing it for me).

Then I went out with my kids, mom and dad, grandmother, and aunt and uncle to dinner. Not sure why, but Grandma wanted to go to a biker bar, so that's where we went. Silly grandma.

Then we went back to my mom's house where I somehow managed to get into a religious debate with my mom. And it was all because I said I like Obama.:confused3 She preached for close to two hours.:lmao: Then after I got home, she called me crying, apologized and asked me if I was mad at her. Sometimes I just don't get that woman. I don't care what people believe and you can preach to me all day without me getting mad. Not like anyone's going to change my opinions now. But it takes a lot more than that to piss me off. You would think my mother would know that by now.

Oh, and my loving husband got me lottery tickets.:lmao: I won a whole $5.

There must have been something in the air because my Mom and I bickered today. Sometimes I hate having to be the grown up. I am getting an electronic book like a Kindle for a combined mom's day and birthday. I am such an egghead sometimes.

You getting excited about your trip next month?

Crap, I forgot to answer you. I blame it on my illiteracy.

I am. I was just talking about it to my sister today. We might stop there the night of June 12 and just drive all the way on Saturday. Of course, if we do that and make it there too early, we'll have to get another hotel room in the Orlando area for the night of the 13th. Maybe we'll just leave later and drive through the night. We've done it before. It was terrible, but better than my last eanxperience on a plane. Just not sure I want to tour US/IOA on no sleep.

We're really winging this trip. I have no idea what to expect. Haven't made any reservations or anything and everyone informed me that they want to go to Planet Hollywood. I should really call them.

Are you talking about the Planet Hollywood at DTD?? You can get in there without a reservation. We get in there easy every time we go and I never have made a reservation.

So I was nursing Elie and went to scratch my neck...felt something hard...thought it might be a scab at first. Since it was dark, I couldn't see.

As soon as she was done, I went to check it out...thought, it might be a tick since I was working in the garden today.

Sure enough, it was!

Aaaaah! I never had a tick before. DH tried to pull it with a tweezer but it wasn't coming. So then he light some matches, blew them out and put the unlit match on the tick. He said the idea is to make the tick uncomfortable enough so that it comes out on its own.

Took 5 matches but it worked.

Then I got worried that DD3 might have one since she was outside with me. So DH took a flashlight and we checked all over her body while she was lying in bed. No ticks.

Then we checked our cat since he was outside, too. No ticks.

All I can think of is Lyme Disease! :scared1: Hopefully we caught it in time...it was less than 6 hours...maybe only 3.

Oh wow...that is scary! Thank goodness you were able to find it so quickly and your DH removed it. You should maybe call your Doctor and let him know. I know they sometimes put people on an anitibiotic just to be safe called Doxycycline.

TO MY NEWEST FRIENDS - :grouphug:

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

ENJOY THE DAY WITH YOUR FAMILIES!!!!

And as always have a Magical Disney Day!!

Thanks Criss Miss! Hope you had a great day yesterday :goodvibes

Yes, Happy Mom's Day to all. Hope you celebrate this day better than me!

We are sitting in church (topic is the Maternal part of God) and at the end where the pastor says, "Happy Mother's Day!", DH leans over to me and says, "Is today Mother's Day?"

"Yep", I said.

Then when we get in the car, he says, "uh, so you want to go out to eat somewhere?"

Ridiculous...yes, let's just head to McDonald's for Mom's day since all the nice restaurants are BOOKED!

But I held these thoughts to myself and just said, well, I didn't plan anything for today since I wasn't sure what might be going on.

DH says, well, obviously I forgot it was Mother's Day...I thought it was Wednesday (???) or next week. Sorry.

So we are home now...I'll go warm up some leftovers...

At this point, I am disappointed but have to laugh...DH just refuses to look at a calendar. I was actually thinking of reminding him last week but then thought why?

Oh boy...he probably didn't know what to do! I would be disappointed too but then you know, men can be like that.

I always think out really cute things for DD to make for her Grandmother's that I would love to have for myself. I usually get a gift card :rolleyes:You would think with all of the commercials and things out there, they could come with something a little creative!

Helllooooo Ladies!!!!

To all the moms out there...

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

And to everyone else a very happy Sunday!!! :goodvibes

I got caught up in projects at work, got overworked, got sick , and basically slept for 2 days. When I was last here the pagecount was in the mid 80s - lol.

I'll try and catch up, but in the meantime I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Cheers!

Thanks!

Oh man, that's a bummer to get sick and have all of that work to do! Hope you are feeling better now! I know there are some nasty things still going around.

Happy Mother's day everybody! And happy Sunday to you non Mom's! My Mother's day has started really nice. Text messages and such from my buddies. And breakfast in bed from Kacy. She made some delicious and fluffy pancakes and served them to me in bed. Yes, it's nice when your kids get old enough to cook.

Thanks Chele!

Sounds like a nice start to the day for you! Kids cooking does sound nice!

Uh-oh~ more funk! I hope Stinkerbelle is feeling better!

And YAY :yay: for dinner with QM and Tat! (I'm jealous though!)

Hi Tat, good to see you

I think of the same thing when I hear that song...I loved Dr. Greene :sad1:

Hey, it was nice of her to call and apologize. I am with you, I just listen and do not get mad.

See you Friday :thumbsup2

Hi Betsy:wave2:. Hows SB today?

Morning Carla :goodvibes

Oh boy, SB now has a rash :sad2:Fever and all the fun stuff is over and now she is literally covered in a rash. My SIL is an Opthamologist but did have to practice Peds while so I called her yesterday and she said she thinks it's something called Roseola. Apparently this is something little one's can get and it starts with and unexplained fever and stomach problems. Once the fever is gone, a rash sets in. She said it is nothing to worry about since it's a viral infection that goes around. It's just hard to see her covered in a rash!

Ok, enough about me. How are you doing? How is Chris? I love the pics you posted on FB...you were so cute!!!

Oh, jeez! I wouldn't really call what we did bickering. She was just defending her love of the Catholic religion and I was being my usual rebellious self. She's not going to convince me to go back to practicing Catholicism any time soon.

I'm still not sure what those Kindles are. I'm always the last person to get the latest electronic stuff. I've only had a cell phone for 4 years and got my first digital camera in 2007.:lmao: Hey, my birthday is coming up soon. Wonder if I can sucker Joe into getting me something too.

You may be an egghead, but we like you anyway.:rotfl2:

Well, religious conviction can lead to some heated conversations. A Kindle is an electronic book. It can hold 1000's of books. We didn't have a digital camera until like last year, when I broke down and bought one. I am usually slow to get on the electronic band wagon. The only reason I got a cell phone to begin with was because the computer was hooked to the phone and someone was always online. Yeah tell Joe you need an expensive IPOD and fill it with Disturbed and Ozzie.

Awwww poor SB. Glad the fever is gone though. I've heard of Roseola before. Not sure why but I have. I think one of my friend's girls had it or something. :confused3 Hope that rash goes away soon for SB.

I'm doing okay. Really don't want to be at work this morning. It's still really quiet and slow since my Dad and Uncle are not here. They're coming back into town this afternoon so they'll be here tomorrow. Chris is okay. He's at the ER again this morning for a follow up on his foot. He's just waiting right now. He said he hates hospitals LOL. Thanks for the compliment :) I wish I was that thin again. As I'm sure Chris does too.

For those of us going to WDW in November/December I found this little bit of info.

http://www.wdwinfo.com/Photos/ICE-gaylord/index.htm

I had never heard of this down in FL before but I have seen pictures from the one they do at the Grand Ol' Opry Resort in TN and it looks very cool :thumbsup2 (no pun intended )

I think Chris and I will do this on our down day on our trip. It's not expensive and looks neat.
