For Kids under 3 - what do they eat at WDW?

Buffets - I get what they will eat but at sit down dinners where adults actually order meals what do the toddlers get to eat since we aren't paying for them? Do you they get to eat off the kids' menu but aren't charged?

They may share off of your plate, but if you want them to have their own meal, you have to order them a child's plate. Hope this helps!

At buffets I think you can pretty much get away with them having a plate but "technically" it's counted as eating off yours

Children under 3 eat free at buffets.
And you can always share your TS or CS meal with a child. However, if you order a separate child's meal you'll have to pay for it. When my DS was very young, we usually shared a bit of our entrees with him and brought some of his favorite snacks, baby foods.

You can be pretty flexible. For example, at Sci Fi Diner I split a hamburger and fries with my DS. Many CS meals are big enough to share, too.

If you think finding something they'd like is an issue and they like PB&J consider buying one at your resort Grab 'n Go ($ or Snack credit) and stashing it for the park or restaurant. That way you'll have something for them whenever they get hungry. I don't thinks this would be rude for a child under 3; esp. if it makes them happier diners! I know you can also buy them at Main St bakery in MK. The good thing is they are sealed, pre packaged sandwiches; completely unappealing to me, but little people seem to love them. Disney knows little people and thus offers them.

Kids meals in a TS restaurant usually run $7-8 and closer to $4 at CS places.

Buffets are indeed free of charge for those under 3 years of age. Buffets are also completely open to anyone eating there. That means you can eat off the kids section and kids can eat off the grown up section.
