For Kevin - Aretha's Hat

Quite frankly, that thing was hideous. Part of me was hoping she lost a bet.

Ellen had a prop hat that she wore on her Wednesday show. It really did show how ridonkulous that thing looks.

I Loved The Hat Bow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

can i just say that i thought she was wearing the statue of liberty crown at first...and that was WITH my glasses on!

that thing was beyond hidious. OMG bad bad bad choice IMO.

To paraphrase Patrick Swayze playing Vida Boheme in "To Wong Foo, Love Julie Newmar" as he was speaking to Wesley Snipes, playing Noxzema Jackson...

It was a "say something" hat day!

Loved that movie! Noxzema :rotfl2:

Did anyone see Jimmy Kimmel the other night where they replayed Aretha singing and then spun the bow on that hat like a propeller and then she took off like a hellicopter. I was laughing so hard I woke DS :lmao: .

We even discussed this hat in one of my classes, funny really as we were meant to be talking about the American Civil Rights Movement. We were divided as to its importance! :rotfl:

That hat was atrocious and quite honestly, I didn't understand a word she said past the first stanza of the song, and that's only because I only know the first stanza.

But I have to say, To Wong Foo, is among the very few movies that I can watch again and again and NEVER get tired of. I captures me every time I see it. I can watch it from start to finish, catch it in the middle and still watch or even just watch the last 20 minutes. I can simply never just pass it by.

The really scary thing is that she got the hat here in Detroit. There was an article in the Free Press yesterday interviewing the guy that made it. He said his phone has been ringing off the hook. He had something like 500 orders the day after the inauguration.

My DW wanted to know if it came with batteries.

I sort of expected her to make pancakes. It has an "Aunt Jemima" vibe to me, for some reason.

And I loved the "To Wong Foo" movie. John Leguizamo does have more legs than a bucket of chicken. ;)
