When sitting at the gate, waiting to board the aircraft, please don't take up more seats then you need.

Most gates don't have nearly enough seats for everyone that's getting on the plane, and when you put bags, jackets, etc in the seat next to you, that just limits more.

I'm sure someone will say "go ask", but I don't like addressing rude behavior unless I need to.

At our airport the problem is not just using seats for your stuff, but then people having all their stuff in the aisles between the rows of seats. All those people who only take a carry on and a personal item, plus their coat, shopping bags and 900 other things. So if there is a seat, you can't get to it.

This is just rude no matter where you are. An airport, a bus, a train, a movie theater, at the gym. Unless it's virtually empty somewhere, people shouldn't be utilizing a seat for their stuff.

The other problem I have is people 'saving a spot', which was rampant on 4th of July. But that's for another thread.
