$$$ for haircuts

I need to get my girls' hair cut before we leave next week but I was thinking that it would be fun to do it in the MK maybe on the day we arrive. Does anyone know how much it is? Do you make an appointment? Is there a long wait? Finally, is it a decent hair cut???

The haircut is great and it's alot of fun. I'm not sure how much it is.....maybe about $12? They do not take appointments, it's first come, first served. The lines can get very long so try to go as early as possible! They also close at 5PM...not a park closing. We have been taking DS there to get his haircut since he got his first haircut there. It's a tradition for us. They can put in colored gel and pixie dust in the kids (&some adults) hair. He loves it and we get to take pics of how much he's grown.
We're planning on taking DD for her first haircut there next weekend.

We did this the last time we went. DH and DS got their hair cut and the price sounds about right to me - I think we paid about $12 also. I was thinking it was about the same as we pay here at home. We had one child in front of us, a 3 or 4 yr. old that wasnt too cooperative. The quartet singers came in and sang while my DH was getting his cut. They hammed it up with him and the lady cutting his hair. Both my DH and DS got gel and pixie dust in their hair. DS didnt want to wash it out till we got home (at least thats what he said right after getting it cut), but a few hours later he said his head was hurting. The gel had hardened a lot and was hurting him according to DS. Lots of comments on the haircuts. We went to the Ice Cream Social right afterwards and CHip and Dale kept pointing that they wanted the same haircut. It was fun, but we ended up washing it out the next morning. There was pixie dust all over his pillow and bedding the next morning and he couldnt take the "pain" anymore!

We started going last year, but I thought that we paid $14 plus tip, which I still feel is inexpensive for ANYTHING at WDW we did it two different days, the first day we had 3 in front of us (during off season in Sept) and by the time DD#1 (5yrs. at the time) was done getting her cut and pixie dust DD#2 (who was 1) was ready to go. Later that week we went back. The wasn't anyone in front of us (a little after lunch) and DD#2 got a cut and pixie dust, while DD#1 got decorated again for $5. We feel like a cut at WDW is a totally fun experience, great pics, and great personal entertainment!

We'll be going in October when DS is 10 mths old and hoping he'll actually have enough hair for a haircut. DH's been planning this "1st haircut" trip for over a year now, since right after I found out I was pregnant.

The price is $14 for kids and $17 for adults. Just getting decorations and gel is cheaper but I have seen various prices for this so it might depend on how much is done.

We did this for our DD 1st haircut and it was great I don't remember the price but - one problem we had was we got there onour first day late in the afternoon- there was a line and the shop closed at 5!

My ds got a cut and blue spikes, which he loved! My dd got a pixie dust and hair color do complete with built in Cindy ble paint headband. Really cute! Totally loved the experience. Only complaint I had at all was that dd asked for pink hair gel or red, and the lady was very inistent on putting in yellow to match dd's shorts. She said - don't worry pri ncess I will make you look beatiful! I went along and told dd she was right so dd would not be pset, bt it did kinda rub me the wrong way. Still was wonderful and totally recommend it , just be sure you assert what colors you want (if any) I do not know how to attach pics, but if anyone can let me know I will post mine!
