Have had it at both.
Talked to the bartender and the Mati'De (guy from Ireland... he was in on the planning of Ragland Road..) at RR said that the stuff they have there is imported from Ireland. And that they use Co2 to pull it..... It was very, very, good! Could have drank several.... but didn't!
I get a 1/2 yard at the Rose and Crown - I take my own yarder from past trips ! I do think the stuff at RR is a little better, more like the stuff I have had over in the UK.
What the heck, its all good!
A Black n Tan is half Bass and half Guinness....if served (pulled) right, the bottom of the glass will be filled with Bass and the top will have Guinness....it will be a black and tan color. As for "pulling a pint"...the pulling part is what is done when you fill a glass...you "pull" the tap. Also, Guinness is to be "pulled" by filling the glass about 3/4, waiting a few minutes to let settle, then filled to the top. One way to know if the Guinness is good in a particular place without even trying it....there will be several of them lined up at the tap to be topped off....that usually means something.
