you have purchased for at home use. I am talking about such things as Ab Roller, Ab Circle, Total Gym, Malibu Pilates Machine, Gazelle, that Pull-Up Bar thingy you attached to the door frame - or anything as such you either see on TV or even from a place like Target, etc.

I am not counting things like weight benches or treadmills, just maybe those gadgety items.

we don't own it, but both my wife and I think the Ab Circle looks fun.

I have to say the Bow flex. It's so big you can hang all kinds of clothes on it!!!!!!!:rotfl2:

We own a Bowflex, treadmill, and Ab Lounge. I would definitely say that the Bowflex is a great piece of equipment. Very well made, smooth moving, and if you use it, works extremely well!!!! The Ab Lounge is great for just that, your abs. I have problems doing sit-ups on the floor, kills my back. But the Ab Lounge solves this problem!

We have the ab roller - DH used to hang his hats on it :lmao:

It is much easier to do sit ups and crunches with it but being that I think its only ever been used 4 times I can't comment on how well it works :rolleyes1

The best pieces of exercise equipment I own are my running shoes and my road bike.

A kettlebell and a chin up bar when used properly will absolutely rebuild your body. Do a youtube search on kettlebells for mor info.

carry the laundry upstairs, cut the lawn...

or as said, body calisthenics like push ups, squats, situps, jumping jacks etc... all for free!

Honestly I have bought a ton of stuff (elastic band, weights, pillates ring, exercise ball, treadmill, ski machine, sit up chair) over the years trying to find my new body.

The Ellipical was my best purchase by far! It has a tons of special items on it but is used every day by myself and DH and helped me lose over 50 pounds (first time in my life I'm a healthy weight) and keep it off well over a year.:goodvibes

I even bought a pillates machine (HSN/QVC) in the last year to try to tone and I don't even use it once a month. I love it but my ellipcal wins hands down.

I have to say I would be afraid of those kettleballs...I would be afraid of knocking a big hole in my wall or tossing it out the window by mistake :lmao:

I find an elliptical hard do. I am only 5'1" and I feel like I am taking very high steps and its not that comfortable. I guess I would get use to it??

My buddy stores his exercise bike on his treadmill. :lmao:

We have a weight machine (kind of like a bowflex), a treadmill, an recumbant bike, one of those ab roller things, resistance band, a few free weights, a jump rope, and Wii Fit. I think the Fit is probably the best investment for us. The competitive nature helps keep us motivated. Plus it is just plain fun to do! I have read that jumping rope helps get rid of cellulite. I really want an elliptical but with all the equipment I already have, I just cannot justify the cost. I am pregnant right now but plan to use the Wii Fit to lose the baby fat once she is here.

I don't own any of these things (no place to use it) but my friend has one of those pilates balls and an ab lounger. The pilates ball is a lot of fun to sit on and bounce on, I tend to spend most of my time rolling around on it. The ab lounger is actually very comfortable to watch TV on. You can just lie back and relax. Of course, neither one of these gadgety things gets much use the way it's intended to.
