We just got back from DW. While we were waiting for our dinner reservations at CRT we heard some of the craziest stories from parents trying to snag a reservation. One mom said she had called the ADR number EVERY day and night for 3 yrs. Can you imagine? How exhausting! Another guy, who was obviously used to talking fast with doubletalk to get what he wants, gave the craziest story on how his wife had reservations but lost the number. (He must not know how it works) The lady at the desk asked "when" she made her res. He had no idea. Funny thing was his wife and child were now where around. Huh? Weird. He insisted that they had reservations, blah blah. I had my res. #, but they also had my name and number on a list at the desk. Kudos to the ladies at that desk because they have heard it all and were very nice but firm. I would love to hear the stories they have to tell...

That is amazing. I can't imagine - really. I would never try to walk up and tell some story to get in anywhere. Those CMs at the podium must have heard it all.

People are disgusting. I know a woman who goes to disney every year for Thanksgiving with her family (grandkids etc) and never makes ADR's. She picks which restaurants she wants to eat in and goes there and flips out that she had a reservation and does not leave until they let her in. She has done this on Thanksgiving at CM's a few times. It really makes me crazy. Nice lesson for her grandkids. She thinks this is the funniest thing ever.:sad2:

I say there are two different types of people in the world --
Those who have high blood pressure.
And those who create high blood pressure.
;)
I am sure cast at the podium have heard every fairy tale imaginable.

That is awful about that grandmother - my MIL went with us last time to DW. I swore never again, she wore new shoes, didn't take breaks with us, and then got blisters. She went to medical care and they gave her a blanket fast pass for the rest of her trip. She then continued to tour the parks as usual, just with blisters...My teenager refused to ride with her because she did it on purpose. She is one of those people who look for things to complain about at restaurants so she doesn't have to pay for her meal or gets something free. It's so embarassing we refuse to eat out with her anymore. Yuck!

I've been planning a trip for April and there are still reservations available for the weekend before Easter at Cinderella's table. I think they would know when something is BS if those sort of times are still out there...
