Are you doing your "dream" job? If not do you know how to get there and are you doing the steps necessary to get there?

Trust me, this is far from my dream job but:

1. I work for a terrific boss
2. I make more money than I ever thought possible
3. My commute is literally 2.5 minutes
4. I'm too old to go back to school to be come a nurse. (Yes, I am too old and I don't have the energy to do it.)
5. I get to spend time on the Dis.

no, but i'm in the right industry, anyways. i know how to get to where i want to be and i am working towards it.

I have nothing funny to add to this post :teeth:

No, I am not working my dream job. This job has a lot of bonuses to it, and I am thankful for it, but it isn't what I want to do. I honestly cannot do my dream job until my husband gets a few more raises/promotions. In the mean time I will stay here and do this until I can take a severe pay cut :)

Nope, this is far from my dream job. And since my dream job is a stay at home mom/wife, and my DH does not make enough to support us, there isn't really anything I can do about it. So, I have a job that pays decent and has a couple other perks...not my dream, but it's a living.

I do, but I'll refrain.;)

I'm not in my dream job, but I have a pretty good job.:)

Well, since I don't have the talent to sing and dance on Broadway, this may be as close to my dream job as I get. Great pay, great working conditions, nice colleagues, interesting work. How did I get there? Boring old hard work and student loans. I always did well in school. Went to law school. Worked very hard there (no partying - treated it like a job). Got 4 nice job offers. Chose the one where I like the people best. Worked hard - had a good work ethic - never complained. Stuck with it even when 3 maternity leaves kept me from making partner on schedule. 19 years later, I'm still at the same firm....just hard work and perseverance, no magic.

guessing that even though i am not technically still working i still hold my dream job,, i own a carpentry, home repair and remodeling service and i only answer to home owners we work for:) we work when we need to vacation when we want and live comfortably:) at least we did prior too my accident , since then things are tight, but dw is determined to stay in the bizz and keep company afloat, we are making it:)

My dream job was to be a Marine Biologist. I'm not really sure why I never pursued it more aggressively. I guess, the bills kept coming in so I had to do something more practical.

Maybe someday............... :sunny:

Funny you should ask. It is/was the perfect job. Today is my last day. My company is downsizing big time. The reductions have been going on for two years now. Today my number is up.

I just know there is another perfect job out there. PLEASE!!!!!:goodvibes :worried:

I love the fact that I am my own boss, but I hate the fact that business is slow right now!

Anyone want to buy some baby bedding! ;) :teeth:

In a way I am because my arrangement allows me to work 3 days a week which means I get the enjoyment and satisfaction from working but also get to spend a lot of time with DD which is my greatest joy. For right now I'm completely satisfied.

Yes, I am doing my dream job... raising my daughter. Oh and there's that other job during the day that I tolerate so I can pay for everything ;)
