For Boardwalk Inn Pros

We are leaving in eleven days for our first stay at the Boardwalk Inn. We are in a concierge deluxe room. What are your experiences with the deluxe room? Is there any preferred view? How does the concierge stack up with the other deluxe hotels? Thanks in advance for any info!

I can't personally answer your question about the concierge at the Boardwalk because we don't leave until Saturday. In June our family of 4 stayed in a BWI concierge deluxe room - #3229. It was great!!! We were right above the bakery with an awesome view of the lake/water. We could see the high EPCOT fireworks from our balcony. I loved sitting on the balcony any time of day or night to people and site watch. We thought it would be noisy but it wasn't.

The extra space in the room is great! We had two beds and then a pull-out couch (which we never used to sleep on) What we liked the most was the two tvs! The kids could go over to THEIR side of the room on THEIR couch and watch tv while DH & I got to hang out on OUR side of the room! If you have stayed at other Disney resorts (other than the CR concierge since their rooms are soooo big) you will really notice and appreciate the size difference.

The only probelm, if you can even call it that, was that we were on the 3rd floor. It was a TINY bit of an inconvenience at times to go up to the 4th floor to the lounge. But we got over that.

We didn't ask for the deluxe room, but lucked out when our travel agent looked for rooms with an AP rate and that room was available. Now we wish we could get it every time we go to the BWI!

You are going to love the BW!!! It is my all time favorite place to stay. I will be in a deluxe room in just 2 more days. As for the cast of the Innkeeper's Club, there are none better in my opinion. Jackie, Robin, Scott, Pete, Laura and all the others are just wonderful. They go way above and beyond for their guests. I have stayed at the YC, BC and Poly conciege also and while I liked both the BC and the YC, won't comment on the Poly, I just love the BW. Have fun and enjoy your stay!!!!!

KerryCM and I always arrive on the same BWI concierge threads and have the exact same opinion. I posted some pictures of the deluxe room the other day. I'm sure if you do a search, you'll find them. The resort is beautiful and the concierge is the best! You'll have a wonderful time. All of the deluxe rooms have a Boardwalk view. I've only ever stayed concierge at the GF (I used to stay concierge at the Poly as a child and young adult - I really don't remember), and there is NO comparison between the two concierges. BWI concierge CMs are wonderful and our experiences with the GF concierge CMs have been, well, not-so-wonderful.

The rooms look beautiful but I have never stayed there . I did, however, read somewhere that they were doing some pipe work in the hallways during the daytime now. You might want to check that out.

Thanks so much for all the replies! Only ten days now and I'm really getting excited!! We will have four in our room also. Does it feel crowded with four in the one room? It will be my husband, my son, my mom and me. I didn't know they had two T.V.s in the room- that's great! Also, are all the deluxe rooms on the third floor or are there any on the fourth? Sorry for all the questions!! I have stayed concierge at the Yacht and the Beach and I LOVED them both. I stayed concierge at the Poly and the CR- 14th floor and I hate to say it but I didn't really care for either one. I enjoyed the AK and the WL concierge but would rather stay in the Boardwalk area. Everyone has their own personal favorites and that is it for me! Thanks again for all the help everyone!

There are two televisions; there are only two of us in the room, but I can't imagine it feeling crowded with four people; there are deluxe rooms on both the third and fourth floors. Have a great trip!
