Sorry for the questions but you seem to be helping me feel better about this trip. My one last concern is that my daughter who is 6 has the epi-pen which you said would be allowed in my carry on bag also wears leg braces. I will put her in a dress so they can be in plain sight, but what are they going to do they have metal screws which will probably set off the alarms when she walks through, will they make her take them totally off so they can look inside them, will they just use a wand on her, I want to prepare her for this, I've already told her that her medical alert bracelet will probably need to come off while she goes through and then we will put it back on her, I just don't want her scared and upset if she is prepared for this she will be OK with it.

Beverly may have left for Orlando already.

I would think that they will want to wand your daughter to make sure that the beeping is coming from her braces. That is normally what they do for wheelchair bound people.

It might be good to call the airline or airport and ask them.

Thanks for the info Carol, I have called and finally got through, we have changed our reservations from Logan to Bradley, and they said it is a case by case basis, but will handle the situation to make our daughter as comfortable as possible with whatever needs to be done.

yes I was in orlando....they will wand her. and wand her and wand her. they did it to me 3 times. the one in orlando is very sensitive. and they are also doing a bag search now in disney as well.
