We are attempting a summer heat wave vacation at WDW in August. We'd love to try and stay at BCV if we can. We recently spoke with friends who stayed there during the summer, and said the beautiful pool area lost its luster because the water was so warm it made pool time "not refreshing." I was wondering if anyone had any insight they'd be willing to share? Would it be any different at any other DVC resort? Or will all the pools feel warm?

It will not be any different at any other pool and we did not find the pool to be hot. Just get out every once in a while and it will feel wonderful. :thumbsup2

The only place in August the water is chilly is Blizzard Beach.

Agreed, I'll take a "warmer" SAB over any other WDW pool for sure. Also the 8 foot deep area isn't quite as warm as the others if you are a good swimmer. That said-the pools are not as refreshing as you would want in August.

I, too, have read the pools are not as refreshing as you'd like in July and August. Having said that, though, we LOVE SAB and we really liked the quiet pool at BCV when we were there in June.

Have a wonderful time!!

The pools will all feel warm - Congress Park pool in May was as good as a bath tub! :rotfl2:

Based on our experience, this would probably be the way it is at any resort. We live in a climate very similar to WDW, and the pool at home, unheated, is very warm and not refreshing in August.
