We were able to get the $49 Email rate for our Wedding Planning trip, and the only resort that was available was ASMu (i was hoping for POP). We stayed at ASMo in 2000, and have been at POR the past two years. But since we'll be at the poly for 8 days for the wedding, we locked ourselves to a value to save some cash.
where would be best to request to be pretty close to the busses, but we don't really care how close we are to the foodcourt. when we were at ASMo, we were in toy story, which we loved b/c you could walk about 25 steps, cut through the lobby and gift shop and you're right at the busses. is there someplace in ASMu that is like this? it seems like calypso building 10 would be best, but isn't there a $10 per night extra charge? would we get charged the $10 if we just requested it in our fax, but not through cro (specifically the front part of Calyso 10 closest to the main building)?

We had room 501 Calypso building 10 I belive...it was a corner room and we loved it. It was 2nd floor and near the elevator/stairs. Also just a short walk to food court/gift shop tothe busses. It faced the pool which we liked. You do need to pay the $10 now, it was not considered preffered building when we stayed, but at the $49 rate I would pay it for the coupla nights. Not sure what time of year you are going, but it was sweet being that close to the food court/busses IMO. I was the breakfast slave tho....carried it back for DH and the kids, so being close to the food was huge to me. I really, really liked ASMU....would stay there again anytime.

They are the next set of buildings beyond the preferred. Or Broadway, which has great themeing and is the most romantic, is just beyond Jazz. I usually request 3rd floor also as it is the quietest.

We also stayed in Jazz and it was wonderful. We were on the back-side of the bldg., away from the pool. Very quiet and a quick walk to food court and the buses.

We stayed in Jazz as well, and it was very close. I've stayed at ASMo, but I like ASMu the best. The jazz buildings look so pretty at night, and there's a pretty little courtyard between them. I liked it because we were close to the pool, but not RIGHT by the pool. It was pretty quiet for us.
