HI! We are a family of 6 who visits Disney at least 1-3 times a year. Dh just wants hoppers for our fall trip, I feel buying an AP amonth might be the way to go. Even if we don't get a discount for our room, at least our tickets will be paid for when we consider a trip. (We are 23 hours away by car!) Do you like your AP's, and we wouldn't have to activate them 'till our trip, right? Thanks!

This is my first year being annual passholders, it was what I wanted for Christmas! It is the BEST thing I have ever done especially if you can visit more than once a year. The discounts on the hotel rooms alone is worth it to me. I hope that I will always be able to be a passholder.

I've certainly enjoyed being a passholder this year. It's the first time I was able to do so and I bought one because I knew I'd have at least 9 days use on it. As it turns out, when it expires on Labor Day, I'll have used it 19 days. That's a pretty cheap per-day rate. I'd love to be able to get another one for next year. I'm still trying to work out those details. I have not regretted it at all.

Yes, if you buy a voucher at the Disney store or wherever, it doesn't get activated until you use it at the park or activate it at DTD.

I've been an annual passholder since the mid 80's, and I love it. We used to live about two hours away, so we would come over on vacation. Now that we live 20 minutes away, we still spend most vacations there (but we save a lot of gasoline). If you plan on taking more than one trip while your passes are valid that are a week or longer each, then the passes will be a good deal for you.

The perks like room discounts can be nice, but they don't always happen. I have a reservation with an AAA discount for September, and the September AP discount came out today. Unfortunately, no availability at my resort, and I don't want to change resorts. That happened to me last December too, but I did get a great discount in February, more than enough to be worth the AP. So it's nice when it happens, and OK when it doesn't.

The best thing about having an AP is that you don't feel stressed to pack everything in when touring the parks. There's always the feeling that you're coming back again. It's more relaxing. Even if you don't live as close as I do, and are only planning two or three trips over the life of the AP, you still know you're coming back, and it really makes a difference.
