I just noticed that the new Backstage Pass magazine is online (PDF) now. Since it seems they don't mail them out anymore, I thought I'd share that info! :)

Thanks I'll go check it out :). I Have been avoiding the AP site lol since n good rates have come out.

Oh man, skip it. (I just read through it...hadn't read it when I made the post)

They are just SO timely it's amazing.:headache:

That line in Princess Bride...you keep using the word (inconceivable), I do not think you know what it means...I don't think they know what "Fall" means. Why do I say that? It's the Fall issue, they keep inviting people to come during Fall at special AP rates...call me crazy, but doesn't Fall start around Sept 22? Their special AP rates, as we all know, end Sept 30. So, they have a Fall newsletter with rates for "Fall" starting in mid August and ending a whopping 8 or so days into the actual season.

And if they aren't sending these out anymore...as has been stated by CMs here...WHY are they still making it in mailing format? They could make it e-newsletter-y and make it a lot easier to read (no scrolling, no "plussing" it so you can READ it), without the spot for a mailing label etc, if they'd just admit that they arent mailing them anymore.... Don't get me wrong, I want it to be mailed...but if they aren't doing it, just drop the old format.

Ugh there is an ad for AP rates and it's still the stupid AP8 lol

We got our Backstage Pass magazine in the mail yesterday. The cover is Halloween and looks very cool! As does the artist's rendering of the Halloween enhanced Space Mtn.

Check your mail boxes.

Yup, got ours in the mail a few days ago.

LUCKY people still getting them in the mail! I haven't gotten once in nearly a year, and the CMs who post on here (glendalais in particular, I believe, not sure if albort has chimed in) have mentioned that they've done away with mailing them. Harumph that that's not totally true and that it's just not me.

I also wanted to add, unless everyone knew this and I just figured it out (well, maybe last month I figured it out) that if you have an expired AP you can still log into the AP site and view all it's features.

My AP expired in May and I have no renewed yet. I can still log into the AP site and view everything.

Just wanted to share. :)

I got mine in the mail yesterday, too. But it is ridiculous that there are two areas where they advertise AP rates in conjunction with Halloween yet the rates are only good through Sept 30th. DUMB! :sad2:

We just got our APs back in May, so I don't think we got one yet.
But, and not to hijack, I am on my second month of the free family fun magazine that came with my AP, and I LOOOOOVE it!

You have a Premium?

Kayla's Mom, we got them all through our first year, including the one that was already out when we upgraded (Halloweentime 07, when we upgraded Sept 18). But then they were just gone. We didn't even actually renew, we got new ones, so we sholdn't have fallen through any renewal cracks...

Yeah, I got a premium for the parking and the discounts. The rest of the family has deluxe

based on the responses here it looks like ONLY S Cal people still get it mailed to them:mad:

for the record: Sacramento...nothing mailed to me for about a year.

Only So-Cal getting them makes sense since I haven't missed an issue in three years. :rolleyes1

Bummer. I would love to get something Disney in my mail.

The So-Cal theory also makes sense to me as I have never gotten the newsletter in the mail and I have been a Premium for 3 years now.

Seems to me that the only time DLR knows how to contact me is when they want me to ante up the cash to renew my pass.

Seriously, I renewed on the first possible day this year as I was trying (successfully i might add :)) to renew before they jacked the rate back in August. Since then my DH and I have each received 2 emails and a postcard reminding us that it's time to renew. Gotta love see you passholder dollars at work!
