Thank you. I agree, these sites can be so helpful after the loss of a furry, feathered or scaly friend.

Thanks Jodi...........
although I have not lost a pet recently, I have a 20 year old cat who is failing and I know it will not be to long, and when you need these things you can't find them, so I added it to my favorites.............
So your second home is Lambeau Field? Are you from Wisconsin? I grew up in Door County and my grandparents had season tickets which are still in the family! Now I am down here in hurrican alley and beginning to think that snow maybe a much better alternative!!

Thanks Jodi. I went to the pet loss site and added Ranger to the candle ceremony list for next week.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Thank you for the links. :)

Even though it's been six months since we've lost Denny, it feels like yesterday. These are fantastic sites - thank you.

Chyam:

I wish my second home was in Lambeau for football season. LOL I live here in MO now; so need Sunday NFL ticket to see the games! Ram's territory you know! Not fortunate enough to have season tickets! I grew up in Racine, WI and moved to St. Louis about 7 years ago. My loyalties have never waivered for the Packers!

Sorry this was off topic!

This sites really are a great comfort and help for those of us that have lost a beloved pet. It is a great place too for both children and adults to share their memories and stories, as well as the touching and beautiful candle light ceremony!

From In-memory-of-pets:

"May all of us in our time of grief let it be known that our precious pets' memories will be held close to our hearts. May we find comfort in sharing this love knowing that all our pets are healthy, free of pain, looking and guiding us each day through their memories in the Garden of Roses Beyond Life's Gateway. Our memorial candles will forever remain lit.

May we join in our love for all of our pets in faith and hope In the Rose Gardens Beyond Life's Gateway.

The explanation of the rose garden can be found under the
the daily candle light rose feature!

Hope this brings you comfort and peace knowing that your pet is waiting for you when the time comes!
