I have not seen anything on the boards recently about the Tequila Bar opening up in Epcot's Mexico Pavilion. Please let us know if you have had the pleasure of tasting some fine Tequila.

I thought there was going to be one inside the pavillion... I haven't seen anything on it either. It perked my DH's interest...

We are going in Sept. I will be happy to check for you :thumbsup2 . Just for information sake of course :rolleyes1

This idea has been circulating for more than a year and to the best of my knowledge nothing at all has been done about it. If I had to hazard a guess I'd say that Disney has scrapped the idea, which is too too bad in my humble opinion.

I was about to get really excited too :sad2:

Well, the reason I posted is I looked up on the web and this was on the
wdwnews.com site along with other news on restaurants.
By fall 2008, a new tequila bar opens adjacent to San Angel Inn Restaurante in the Mexico pavilion. And by early 2009, the outdoor Cantina de San Angel expands, with more seating and a new menu.

Here is the link if you would like to read the whole article:http://wdwnews.com/viewpressrelease.aspx?pressreleaseid=107989&siteid=1

Thanks again for checking when you go in September, of course to check, not try out. :rotfl:

It's not the fall yet so maybe, I will have to go by and see what it looks like although if I here my name being called as I walk by I just might have to go in and try it. :rotfl:

I was wondering the same myself. We will be there 8/12-8/17 and had planned on spending some quality time at the new bar. I guess I'll have to make other plans.

Either they have decided not to do it or they haven't started yet, because there's no sign of construction or renovation in there.

We were there the last week of June and saw no signs of it. Also, no sign of any changes at the Cantina. HTH

Unfortunately I can't find it right now, but I could have sworn that the tequila bar was even included in one of the 2008 guide books I read. :confused3 I hope they haven't abandoned this idea!:sad2:

Well, I remember reading about this, and how the shop on the left side of the area near the entrance to the Boat ride, was going to be taken out....I was there in May, and the shop was still there.:confused3 Maybe they just haven't started it as yet, and may start later this year or next.;)

I was there last week and I can say the same thing. No construction or renovating going on.
