Our high school band is marching in the parade! We are the Laurel Highlands High School Mustang Marching Band. We have red, white, and blue uniforms, and we will be playing Corrado. Keep a look out for us! I would love for a DISer to see us play! I play clarinet, and I am pretty much the shortest one, lol. Maybe I'll see you there!

Have a great time! My son's band played last February. It was amazing, lots of parents myself included, stood at the train station to videotape the band coming down Main Street with the castle in the background. I hope your weather is warm and dry, we were cool and wet so lots of people left the park, but on the flip side after the parade the park was almost empty. Just wait till they announce your HS name over the loudspeaker! I thought I was going to cry!

One more thing, while I was taping the parade my sister took pictures. She stood in front of the train station, just before you make the circle and took pictures then ran to the otherside and took more pictures there. It all happens very fast so this will give your parents more pics.

Very exciting. We don't arrive for 9 more days, but back in the late 80's our marching band also participated in a WDW parade and it was fantastic. Also...very warm because it was early April and we had to wear our wool uniforms ;)

Enjoy your trip!

Very Cool! I don't arrive until Wednesday so unfortunately I won't see you but good luck and congrats. I marched at the parade back in 98 (I'm a drummer chick) and it was a cool experience. Of course, I loved disney so much I was looking around and taking it all in and i probably played the worst i have played my whole life that day...LOL! Have Fun and HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

Have A Magical Day!

Congrats to you. What an awesome experience. If we're there we'll cheer you on!

Ah, LH!! Too bad I won't be there, I'd cheer you on! :cheer2:

I'm from Smithfield, btw, so we're practically neighbors! :teeth:

Have fun!

Glad you had fun. My DS and DNiece will be marching with their high school marching band on April Fool's Day 2007. Our whole family is going down to watch them and have fun! We can't wait!! I know that they will have so much fun!

Barbi - I also plan to have my DH up at the train station to film their trip down Main Street and I will be taking pictures.

Glad to hear it was a fun experience!

I'm so glad you had fun... show us some pictures! I'd do the same but I don't know how.

domestic goddess - Get your tissues ready. I was not prepared to be as emothional as I was, even my sister was crying.

My son's high school band just did this a couple of weeks ago and we had a blast! A lot of the kids' families came down and we were all up and down Main Street. It was surprisingly emotional and so nice when the people around us applauded our kids and congratulated us on a job well-done!

Here's a tip: We found spots a little early and struck up conversations with the Photo Pass photographers hanging around. They agreed to use our PhotoPass and took a bunch of pictures as our kids came down Main Street. I think, between the two of the them, they got pictures of just about every kid -- or at least every row. We've been passing the PhotoPass site amongst the parents and I KNOW they made a lot of sales off that parade!

Have a great time. It's definitely a cherished memory for all!

Sorry we missed you. We're going tomorrow and we both graduated from LH. (quite a few years back lol). Kids are California Trojans.
