It is now Wednesday, and we leave sunday morning, i cant wait!!!! But i have been checking th weather forcast everyday, and they are saying scattered thunderstorms everyday so far, i hope not, i guess i am just being spoiled because everytime we have gone it has been great weather for the whole trip. But is anyone else worried, im trying to look on the bright side that everyday the forcast changes, and hopefully it will change for the better!!

We're going down Sun. also and actually I've had so much else on my mind I haven't even thought about the weather. Well if it rans we'll just have to go see Finding Nemo.

I'm a little worriead about rain, but we're leaving tomorrow, and we're going to have fun regardless!

Roxie A-- you hit it on the head exactly! Our non-parks day we actually plan to go and see Finding Nemo, as I'm a big Pixar nut and couldn't do without :). Also, we got a nice surprise Saturday when we went to the Disney Store to purchase our park hoppers-- the CM there gave us two free passes to Finding Nemo! all the more encouragement :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

All the reports I have seen so far say either isolated or scattered thunderstorms. I take that to mean they will be brief and there's a chance you might be lucky and escape them altogether. Let's hope that's the case:)

June=Thunderstorms=Summer in Florida!!!

Don't worry! It says scattered so it means y'all might get rained on a little bit then it usually clears up.Besides it tend to make people scatter and lines thin when a thunderstorm comes through! :sunny: :sunny:

It rains pretty much every afternoon in June in Florida. But, other than the time it's actually raining, it doesn't affect much of anything. It comes on suddenly, and clears out suddenly. You can expect to see scattered thunderstorms on the forecast for Orlando for all of June. Don't let it worry you.

Anyone ever been to Orlando when there WASN'T a forecast of scattered thunderstorms/showers??? :teeth:

Ah well . . think positive . . . rain means lighter crowds !!!

As long as I'm not there in the backwash of a hurricane, rain is good. It keeps the lines short.

Of course, I am praying for no thunderstorms tomorrow night--I want our flight to Orlando to leave and arrive on time without too much turbulence.

First, the "forecast" is usually not very accurate any more than 36-48 hours in advance. So it is only a SWAG on the weatherman's part (SWAG = "S"cientific "W"ild "A"$$ "G"uess)

However, it IS Florida and it IS summer time...so a daily chance of precipitation is normal. The only way the weather guys can be right is to give a small daily chance and point out that they said it might rain if it does, and point out that it was a widely scattered low percentage chance when it doesn't! LOL ;)

I for one am going to have fun. I didn't pay all this $ and beg for hours to get my dh to go with us to let a little rain ruin it. So I hope to see you puddle jumping right along side me....On a serious note... Scattered showers won't last long and the Good Lord will provide an assortment of entertainment for you in case of an afternoon of rain. Just go and have lots of fun!!!!!Leave your worries at home, if your like most of us they will be there when you get back home..

Last year we went the 2nd week of June and it rained every day, often for hours. However, we really didn't mind because heat wasn't a problem - it really cooled things off - and crowds weren't a problem - the rain drove them away. This year we are hoping for some rain. But if you have young children with you, then rain could be a real problem.

Wow, I just looked two days ago on accuweather.com and it said that most of that week it was going to be in the mid to upper 80s and chance of possible scattered showers . I thought WOOHOO!
I love the thought of it not being in the 90s , who cares if we have a few showers, it won't spoil our fun.
Scattered in FL in Summer means it may rain at AK but at MK it will be sunny all day LOL

keithomas...I'm ROTFLOL!!! I'm a regular Weather Channel watcher and I TOTALLY agree with this...I really think they should look into using this term!! :p

You see...I understand SWAGs. I'm an engineer, and everyone I know that went through college engineering or science courses is INTIMATELY familiar with the proper use of a SWAG. On the other hand, the "REST" of the world (or scientists when they don't know anything) will just use the regular, old WAG!!!!! WAG's are not as informed as SWAGs!! LOL

thanks everyone for your responses, it made me feel a lot better, everyone have fun on your trips!!!!

We bought new ponchos for everyone in the family. Rain or shine we'll have fun. Not only that but our kids are 9, 7, and 6 and playing in the rain is something they do at home anyway!! ;-)

We returned recently from a May 13-19th trip, and I was checking the forecasts every minute !! All of them said scattered T-Storms, and it turned out to be 90 and sunny every single day !!!

I would not worry about it !! Enjoy !!!

Got our ponchos packed! I am not worried! The rain may shut down some rides here and there, but it does not last long!

A rainy day at WDW is still better than a sunny day at
home!!!!!

*****ORLANDO, HERE WE COME!!!!!!***********

We are getting all set to leave..look only one day left! Anyway, The forecast on the weather.com site says two things..
Isolated T-Storms and Scattered T-Storms for pretty much all week maybe some of you SWAG's of even you WAG's could tell me what the difference is between these two! Other than one is raining here and not there and the other one is raining there and not here. Really doesn't matter I would be the one who be there when the storm is there or here when the storm is here. Just my take on the definition.
