IMO you got some good advice and a variety of viewpoints in the other thread.
Deciding to stay at a resort with unknown 'possible' construction interference is a difficult and highly personal decision. I stayed at Poly several times during the 2014-2015 construction (which was rather significant - pools closed, three longhouses being renovated, bungalows being added, new paths and detours all over, etc), and I had great stays during that time period (Poly is great with less guests around). Not sure if I would have wanted to stay there if my only trip though.
In my opinion April is an eternity away and Disney didn't announce enough construction/renovation closure details to make an informed decision. I'd monitor the main Poly thread for updates as we get into October/November/December and whatever work they are planning to do starts to ramp up and/or Disney comes out with more info.
If you don't feel like worrying or dealing with uncertainty, pull the plug now and move somewhere else. But if it were me, I'd be waiting, reading up on Poly, and monitoring.
Having stayed in many Disney resorts while construction is going on, IMO they do a great job at maintaining a quality guest experience and I have zero qualms about staying at Poly from October - Summer 2021. But everyone's tolerances on that scale are going to be different - some will not be satisfied at the mere presence of a construction wall or sound of a distant hammer - so it's hard to give advice.
