This is quite interesting. I started reading a bit of chapter 1 of the first book and it is actually pretty entertaining. As for a lawsuit, I'm not sure about that. I mean there is so much fan fiction out there on the internet, and that is pretty much what this is. If he is just posting it for fun, with absolutely no financial gain whatsoever, he may be alright. But if there is ever going to be a fan fic lawsuit, it's probably gonna be right here.

At the bottom of the page where the video is it says:

Second, while these stories are not written by J. K. Rowling (obviously) they, and other such stories, have been sanctioned by her, so long as they are respectful and appropriate for children. I have been in contact with Ms. Rowling's literary agency (after they were asked by the press if the James Potter stories and websites were secretly her creation). They have been very cordial and encouraging, even going so far as to actively deny erroneous press allegations that Ms. Rowling intended to sue me. For that, I thank them!

I don't know how true this is, I imagine it's probably true. So I don't think he has anything to worry about as long as he doesn't publish the stories or earn any money off of them.

I applaud this guy, he really has worked hard. I didn't read any of it, but it looks like he went through great lengths and created a really good fanfic. It's cool.

It looks pretty cool. The only thing I saw a real concern with was the music in the background after the video. It sounds awful familiar.

Yeah if you click on behind the scenes or the creation of or whatever on the main menu it'll bring up this play button on the bottom and it says he composed all of his music.

It's great writing, but simply Fanfiction.
Legally, as long as he has no intentions to make a profit off the James Potter stories, he has nothing to fear.
