I just spent two wonderful days up at Mt Pleasant in the same hotel room with my Mom. She's getting so much older and we (my sister and I) tease her about it but deep inside it hurts 'cause we know these special times with our Mom won't go on forever.

My Mum has been gone for the last 2 of my birthdays and I miss her hug too.

I still put up her very last birthday card to me every year and I re-read the words and what she wrote...silly huh?

It is heartbreaking to lose your Mum.

Katholyn, hugs to you on your birthday. I am losing my mother now and with such limited time, every shared moment is a treasure and also a heartbreak. This week we had our "last" anniversary dinner that my mom will be at. It hurts but I'm so thankful that she is here.
