We were able to get a fp for NRJ for all 6 of my family member from 1005-1105. How feasible is it to go straight to FOP as soon as the ark opens to do FOP? What time do we need to arrive at the park.

Completely feasible. How long you wait depends on how much earlier you get to the park before everyone else doing the same thing. Be among the earliest to arrive, and you won’t wait long at all. Be among the last and you’ll wait an hour or more. I’d recommend at least 60-75 minutes before park open for shortest waits.

Completely agree. Be there when you they start letting people in and head straight for it. It's actually pretty comical watching everyone speed-walking while trying not to break stride. We did the same thing this past June on day seven of the opening and we were on FOP within 40 minutes. You just got to be there and head straight for it.

Don't give up. I've been tweaking my fastpass schedule for a few days and I was able to snag a few prime fastpasses that I didn't get on my first try. Keep looking; others change their minds and then you may get lucky.

Also, consider all times available for FOP. It will be much easier to do stand by for Na'vi.

Best worst case scenario is last ride of the night. We got in line at 8:20 on a night with closing time of 9. Posted wait time was 85 minutes. We were on the ride in 25 minutes. That seems to be the standard experience at the end of the night.

whats a good time to get on the last ride of the night? I may try this

We also did it at the end of the night. We got in line about 10 minutes before park closing. Posted wait time was 75 min and actual wait time was about 45 minutes.

We rope dropped Navi and hardly noticed the wait. But I will have to say after having ridden it twice, I would absolutely wait 90 minutes to ride this one again. It is an amazing experience.

For what it's worth, I was unable to get a fast pass for FOP last Monday, but we did standby around 11:30. The posted wait time was 90 minutes, but we only waited 45! Totally worth the wait but also glad we didn't wait 3 hours for it.

Well, it would work if you get there pretty early. Like 7:30 on a 9 AM opening day. The pics I've seen of the FoP hordes make me anxious, though. LOL. I would not do it. I would get there about 8:30 and go to other parts of the park first. Most everything besides the Pandora rides are walkons for the first 1.5 hours or so. Then hit Navi at the end of your FP window. Spend time exploring Pandora after Navi. Then, get in line for FoP 15 minutes or so before close. Actual wait should be much less than posted.

I like this idea

This is what we are planning to do. We are going to FP NR since we can all go together (have a couple that cannot ride FoP) so those of us that want to try FoP will head back later at night. I want to see Pandora at night anyway so it seems to make sense.

Absolutely feasible. If you are willing to be there 90 minutes before the park opens then you will be at or near the front of the line, be through FoP quickly, do the Safari, and wander the Pangani trail before heading back to your Navi River FP. Or you could just ride Navi River right after FoP and head off to the rest of the park.

Here is my trip report from my FoP rope drop visit:

I appreciate that getting up early for rope drop can be a challenge on a vacation day but it can really jump start your park agenda.
Wishing you a pixiedust: visit!

I have ONE DAY on my next visit....I think we're going RD-Close that day to get it all in!
