FOP FP wait times

Not sure if this helps, but I was just trying to learn more about child swap and the second 'group' of people going with the child swap pass have 2-3 days (reports are conflicting) to use the pass. Not sure about your other touring plans, but perhaps you could return to AK to use the pass if it was cutting things tight.
Unfortunately only doing 1 day in AK. If we can’t make the rider swap, I might just give the ticket to another family in the standby line so they can enjoy it!

PS: I believe I read the RS ticket is good until the end of the month (but don’t quote me on that as i’m a newbie to all of this :))

Really? So what do people do when they take a cab? In Toronto (& other cities like Chicago, Vancouver, & NY), if we’re taking a cab or Uber to/from the airport, the cities don’t expect us to have car seats, and allow (but discourage) families to use those vehicles without a car seat. What about DME? Does that require car seats & booster seats?
Taxi's are different, different rules.
You are still required to use a car seat, technically. Whatever the law is where you are locally, has to be followed. In FL, it's anyone 6 and under.
With Taxi's the parent is the one responsible if the car is stopped so you'll pretty much never find a Taxi that says no to taking kids not in car seats
With an Uber, it's not the same. The driver is the one responsible so a driver should refuse to drive with kids not in car seats. Some do, some don't
DME is a bus, buses do not require car seats at any time

Imho if you arrive later at bomas and explain that you took bus over from ak and it took longer bc you just missed a bus that they will just take you when you come if it's not outrageously late. I dobut they adhere to he 15 min grace as it's a buffet and we always get a buzzer at 6:30 anyway. 7 would be safer. But you'll likely wait at least 10 min.
There are also taxis at ak. But he bus is pretty fast usually.

Thanks all for your advice! I just managed to swap my 5:25pm FP for FOP for a 3pm FP, so we’re going to keep our earlier ADR at Boma! Yay!!

Not true, at least not our experience. We missed a bus, were late to Boma, got there 20 minutes past our ADR, and we had to go on standby. They did not turn us away but they wouldn't commit to a time when we could be seated. We were seated a bit over 2 hours later. We were a party of 6.
