FOP Fastpass PSYCH!

I have to share this story that happened to me tonight. I am heading down to WDW in a few weeks with DD 16, DD11, DD10. 5 days. 3 Days at Disney, 2 Days at Universal. Due to a number of factors I won't get into we need to do AK on the first day of our vacation. At my 60 day mark the FP for FOP were gone at day 63 - 64. I was able to get reservations for HEA Desert, FEA Desert and EMM. I got all the other FP at the times we wanted them. I was content and figured we could rope drop FOP on a EMH day. That was until I read about the "refresh" thing on the boards. I figured what could it hurt. For the last week, if I am at a computer I have a MDE tab open checking on FOP. Tonight was no exception. My wife had a long day and was taking a nap. The girls had their homework done and were enjoying some leisure time. I had dinner in the oven and was in the office "refreshing." The oven timer went off. I hit refresh and headed into the kitchen. I got the girls there dinner and headed back to the office. To my great surprise there was a 5:15 FP for FOP. I started to jump up and down. YES. YES. YES. I clicked the 5:15 button. I took me back to the sign in screen. It had timed out. Elation to devastation in 3 seconds flat. I think I have lost my mind.

Oh no! That is a huge bummer!! I've had that happen a few times with dining reservations, buy a FOP FP is even more frustrating. I'm so sorry. I had a heck of a time getting FOP FPs at 61 and 64 days out but eventually was able to get them. I hope you are able to get them too!!

Disney has recently doubled the number of FOP FPs, so it may be worth trying again.

Also, try for smaller groups with overlapping time slots.

This morning was my 60-day mark...I'll be at WDW the Sunday after Thanksgiving for a full week...I had been stressing on how I was gonna plan for Pandora and its new rides...so my plan was this: 1st try for AK FPs on Thursday of my trip (the rule seems to be to try a day late in your trip becuz FPs will be gone in the first few days of your trip becuz other guests have already snagged those FPs before you even had a chance)...then try for anything on Tuesday morning (Tuesday night we're doing MVMCP)...so I was on my laptop at 6am Central...for some reason I could not access the Fast Pass section, it kept saying I was still early...so after 2 minutes I jumped onto my phone to try the app...the app was working!!! So I rushed to get my FOP FPs for Thursday and Navi River FPs for Tuesday morning...IT WORKED...I GOT THEM...YEAH!!!! After selecting a few more FPs for the week, I jumped back to my laptop and now everything was working and the FPS I had already booked were showing up...I then finished making all my FPS for my trip...I am MORE THAN HAPPY that I was able to get FPs for each new Pandora ride...I even got a FP for the FROZEN ride over at Epcot...now just to tune up my plans and nail down final dinner plans for Epcot (I've decided to skip CLP this year unless a truly AMAZING narrator is booked that week)...Thanks to everyone with their tips and suggestions...I can truly now relax for the next 60 days...LOLOLOL....

If you can't get a FastPass, you can always wait until a little later in the day when the line gets short. It might be a little less stressful than what you're going through now.

From a couple of weeks ago:

At 9:30 am, the posted wait was 210 minutes with an actual wait of 240.

At 9:30 pm, the posted wait was 60 minutes with an actual wait of 30.

I'm with the PP- let the kids starve! I couldn't get a FP either but when they released more last week, I was able to do so. Keep trying!
