I booked a last minute trip for the end of August and to no surprise there were no FoP fastpasses available. Our plan is to drive to AK and arrive around 7am for a 8am EMH opening and ride FoP. Will 7am be ok? Or should we plan on arriving earlier? Any other advice? I wanted to skip Pandora (actually AK) this trip but 2 of my traveling companions are insistent. :headache:

7AM is OK.

Could you let us know how the morning ended up going for you?
We arrived at 645 am for 8 a.m. opening on 8/26. We were about 5th in line at the tapstiles for entry. We walked pretty quickly after they let guests through and made it to the rope at the bridge about 5-7 rows back on the right. We were walking through the queue by 740 and waiting to enter the preshow by 750. Off the ride and out the exit by 815.

What was the line like behind you and could you see what the wait time was once you got off?

7am will work. Try to go bagless if you can and you should be at the front of the turnstiles while everyone else is getting their bag checked.
We showed up at 6:45 but brought a backpack. We were third in line at the bag check and by the time we got through, all the turnstiles were like 20 people deep.
It's a great ride, have fun.

I didn't look at the standby wait time, but from the pictures we took in the exit queue (it took us like 4-5 minutes just to exit the ride), I see people in the outdoor portion of the queue, and I know they were holding people in a line that snaked through Pandora already. I'm guessing 60 minutes? Maybe more?

When we were waiting at the bridge at Tiffins, I looked back and saw a lot of people waiting behind us - it definitely seemed that everyone had gone to ride FoP.

On a later visit, we were closer to the front and the CM told us that if you're on or near the bridge between Tiffins and Pandora before they start letting people in that you shouldn't have to wait more than 15 minutes or so.
