Love both rides. We have no issue with roller coasters and go on all of them but I wish there were more of the FOP/Soarin style rides.

It seems to me they would be less expensive to build and use less land.

If I could order any future ride it would be a FOP/Soarin style ride in a space capsule to the moon and mars with stars and meteors along the way.

I think it would be a very popular ride.

Have you seen the show in Epcot’s Canada? Next time you're there, just imagine you're inside a giant flying saucer and it feels like a ride. Similar with the show in France.

Yes. I first came to Disney around 1973 and I believe both China and Canada had similar type shows. I also came in the 80’s so I might have the year wrong but I do recall really liking both.

We saw the Canada show yesterday.

Is Mission space that?

I read it makes you extremely dizzy and is claustrophobic

I guess I will ride it to see.
Good luck Tom!
I went once when it first opened and never again. Not sure which version I rode since I don't think they had Orange or Green designation at that time.

There is a spinning version (Orange) and a non spinning (Green).
The theme of where you go has changed from the original but yeah basically you're in a space shuttle.

Orange goes to Mars, green circles earth. I’ve heard orange is pretty intense but have no first hand knowledge since I avoid rides w/ big drops & spins (no mountains for me, BTR is about my upper limit,) so I opt for & enjoy the green side.

Star Tours is a motion simulator too. It isn't in the class of Flight of Passage or Soarin', but that is what it is. I consider Mission Space Green to be Star Tours in a different setup. If you are at all claustrophobic, don't try Mission Space, but the ride motion on Mission Space Green is somewhat like Star Tours: your chair tilts back and forth, and the like. If you are not claustrophobic and like Star Tours, you should enjoy Mission Space Green. Mission Space Orange is a much different animal. I rode it a few times but have stopped. I felt like I had to puke each of the last few times I tried it. I didn't puke, but loads of people do.

When they opened Mission Space, the only version was what later became known as the Orange version. They developed the tamer Green version later.

Green it will be.
