I just went over our food plan for our week at disney, and boy was I in for a shock! I figured with $50 extra everyday for snacks, etc. that we would need $1,850 :earseek: Am I kidding? We just have 8 ps's. Is this how much everyone else spends on food? Maybe since this our first trip I went a little overboard? :confused3

How many people are you feeding? What ages? Do they have big appetites?
Where are your PS'?

Also, are you staying on-site? Have you looked into the dining plan?

We are 4 people 2 dd's 5 and 7 and my husband and myself. We are staying onsite. Ps's are chef mikey's, cindy's, crys palace, O'hana's, sci fi, Hollywood and Vine fantasmic dinner pkg, Princess lunch norway, and the Biergarten. Thank you for any help. :)

I think the dining plan would be a good option for you. It's $35 for each adult and $10 for each kid. You would each get a sit down meal, a counter service meal and a snack each day. If I did my math right (and you are going for 7 days) it would be $630.

There are a ton of threads about the dining package, you might want to look into it.

I agree the dining plan would probably be the way to go. you can go to the disney websight to get the list of restarants that are on the dining plan. I believe all of those are listed except maybe cindy's.

CRT (Cinderella's Castle breakfast, and lunch and dinner) IS included in the Dining plan. It is a sit down restaurant.

You can't do the Fantasmic Dinner Package with the dining plan.

However, if you book the package, and pay cash for Fantasmic, you'll still come out better than paying cash for all of your meals.

Just a comparison for you - Our next trip will be 10 days (also have a DD7 and DS5, DH and I) and I am figuring around $1750 for meals and snacks. We do not eat breakfast (except two character breakfasts) and just get poptarts and cold cereal for the room in the mornings. My kids are not big breakfast eaters and it gets us going faster in the mornings. We have at least one sit-down meal per day and one or two snacks, plus a counter-service meal.

We will not be using the MYW dining plan since we have an AP this year, but I am looking at getting the Disney Dining Experience card and figure that will save us about $250-$300.

We love to try appetizers and desserts, so we also look at the option of splitting an entree, appetizer and dessert between hubby and I.
