If we go to WDW the first weeks of October - per the website, You can do both Mickey's Halloween and the Food & Wine festival.

Does NJ have school vacations in early October ?


Is it better to go to WDW the first weeks of November and just do the Food & Wine festival in EPCOT?

No kids - just us DH & DW

Hi there! I'm sure you'll have time to do both. If you are able, middle of the week is slower for both MNSSHP and Food & Wine at Epcot. MNSSHP is a hard ticket that you have to pay extra for (outside of normal tickets and park hoppers) and runs from 7-12 on party nights (you can get in at 4 p.m. on the party ticket). I'm not sure how long you'll be there or I can advise you on how many days, etc.

Jersey week is over Nov 4-12-ish. I am going then; however, it is still busier than early October then. October is not unbusy. Disney is never unbusy. I go at this week because my kids have 2 days off from school; therefore, I am only taking them out 3 days. Many other parents do the same.

Any way you go, MNSSHP and Epcot Food & Wine are my favorite events of the year and I'd choose them over any other time of the year with kids (except maybe MLK and Epcot International Festival of the Arts; but, now I've gone too far...).
