food & wine pairings

Has anyone tried the food & wine pairings at the food and wine festival? Did you feel that it was worth the money? What restaurant did you go to? What kind of food and wine did they have the day you did it?

We did Sushi, Sake and Sashami and the Coral Reef last year. Both were $35 and well worth it. There were three wines or sakes and three dishes to try. There was lamb, a fish dish and I think a pear type dessert at Coral Reef. Sorry, going by memory! There are reviews on wdwig.com. We will probably do the French one this year.

We don't know the price of the F&W Pairings yet for this year. But, for the last few years, they've been $35 plus tax and tip. Best bargain of the Festival, IMO. You get three courses and three paired wines. They're great.

the last two times we went to the F&W we did pairings and have found that all of them we fantastic. have done the Sake pairing as well as the pairing at Marakesh as well as two at Coral reef the. I think three courses with wine for around $40 is a reat deal and did not have a bad expierence at any of the ones we did. Not doing F&W this year however but looking frward to 2007
