Has Anyone Done The Special Event - Food And Wine Pairing Before. I Was Thinking About Trying The One At Italy For $45, Which Includes Three Tasting Samples But I'm Not Sure That That Will Be Enough Food To Fill Us Up. Anyone Done This Last Year At Any Country, How Much Food Are We Talking, The Same Amount That Is At The Stations?

For us, it's almost enough for a lunch. We usually get a couple of tastes from the booths an hour or so before the food and wine pairing and then with that added, we're fine until dinner. Think a little bigger than the tastes at the booths for the first and second course, and then about the same size for the desert course as a tasting.

However, if you haven't already booked by now you might have a hard time. I think several of them are sold out and Italy might not be available.

According to Allears.net, most of the Italy pairings are sold out. They show that only October 28 and November 11 may be still available.

We did the Italy one last year. It was a full meal to me, an antipasto type plate which was seafood when we went, an entree of veal, potatoes & veggies and dessert in addition to the 3 different wines served with each course. We are going again this year on 10/21. Since the restaurant will be under new management it will be interesting to see how they change it. The one in France is not as filling, a salad and then some cheeses & meats (pate & sausage type). We've also done Le Cellier a couple of times but couldn't get a reservation for this year. Their offerings are very filling also. The people who attended the Morrocco one last year raved about it. We haven't done the Livingseas/Coral Reef one due to shellfish allergies but hear they are really good also. FYI Le Cellier & Italy in the past have accomodated those with the seafood allergies, you just need to let them know 72 hours in advance. and they prepare an alternate dish for those individuals.

Last year I was at the Coral Reef restaurant for their F&W pairing. It was delicious and just enough for lunch. I was pleased with the value, for what we were served.
