Thinking of taking another food & wine trip this year. Last year I did a couple of seminars for the first time and the Italian Regional lunch. What have other solo's done? Tell me about your experiences good and bad.

I've done a solo trip for the Wine & Dine Half Marathon last year and registered again this year.

This year will be my fourth F & W as a solo. I have gone to a couple of the Wine dinners at the signature restaurants and am hoping to to go to one again this year. They seat you at a large table so there is good conversation and no one really notices that you are solo. I like to go to the cooking and wine tasting seminars. Again, you sit at tables for 6 and, with one excpetion, that has always been fun. The only down side is eating my way around the World Showcase at the kiosks. When one of my friends can tag along, we share dishes and get to taste more things. By myself, I get full too fast and don't get to sample as many.

Yes, that's my experience too-also, it helps to be able to send one person for the food, while the other person finds a spot to sit/stand.
I've also done several seminars solo. For the last several years, I've gone to the F&W, and spent some time with DH, some time solo-that is, I'm there for about 10 days, and he joins me for about 4 days.
