Looking to plan a last minute budget 2N stay for November so I can finally go to the F&W festival. I'm looking to eating my way around the worlds. So I figured trying the small plates/ snacks and no counter and table service.

Thought not to do any dining plans, maybe the quick service. I know in the past, on my last day, I had used a QS credit for 4 snacks. Not the best value but better losing my credit. Can that be done ahead of time so that I would have 4 snack credits instead of 1 QS? This way I eat at different places. Don't think it's possible but I thought I should ask.

First, on QS converts to only 3 snacks versus 4. The most common way to do it is to have the cast member at the venue break the QS into 3 snacks. All 3 snacks must be purchased at the same time from the same place.

However...as with Disney, nothing is consistent. Some people have reported that they were able to convert a QS to 3 snacks at their resort with a resort cast member. Others were not successful in doing this.

Flavors of Fire converted a QS credit to 3 menu items and even proactively asked me if I wanted to do so.

As others say possibly other CMs might not do or allow the same. Seems like the system allows it with a quick tap though.

All of the booths will do it. The OP wants to change the QS credit into 3 snacks BEFORE they even get to EP, so all they have are snack credits and can then just get 1 or 2 items at one booth instead of the 3 required to use the QS credit AT the booth.

Yes, I was wondering if they will convert ahead. There's so many places to try that I thought I would have 1 from a booth. Even then it may be a lot of food.

Guess I'll wait till I check in. If the CM will convert at that time, I'll purchase it. If not, then I won't do the dinning plan. Think I will full from the snacking. First time doing F&W (well, in many many years w/o kids) so different experience. Think just snacks will be good. Am I missing anything?

The dining plan cannot be added on at check in. It must be done (I believe) 3 days before check in. I know it definitely can't be added day of.

I've never heard of someone being able to convert QS credits to snack credits ahead of time, only at the point of sale. Value-wise, it's also not a great use of credits.

In 2018 if you want to the front desk of your resort they allowed you to convert a quick service credit to 3 snack credits. A table service could be converted to 2 quick service.

In 2019 the dining plan no longer allows you to do this. You can trade on quick service to 3 snacks, if done in one transaction. A table service credit can now be used for one quick service. (Trading a table service for quick service is not a good use of that credit.)

I've NEVER heard of this one. A TS to QS has always been 1 for 1. If someone gave you 2 QS credits for 1 TS credit, you were pixie dusted and they had no idea what they were doing.
