I want to know if my kids can share a meal at 50's. My son will be on the adult plan and there is no way he could scarf down that much food.....hoping they can share and then we can use her kid credit later for a group snack or something......also, is a ressie required at Sc-Fi for just shakes???

Thanks all!

:)

Don't know about sharing but I do think you need a ressie to get milkshakes. Why not get those at PT50's? They have delicious PBJ shakes.

The meals are so huge at 50s and my husband and I split meals here (we don't do DDP but since it's a Disney owned restaurant, I see no reason why sharing wouldn't be allowed).

Yes, you need an ADR at Sci Fi, even for milkshakes if you want to sit in one of the cars. This place can be very busy; I've seen them turn people away many times. They do have some picnic type tables at the back of the restaurant that they use for walkups but there aren't very many

I'd definitely share a meal there. I had the fried chicken (AMAZING), salad and a huge milkshake, and my 9 YO DD basically add her fill of chicken and shake and so did I and we still had a few left-overs. It's one of the restaurants that she's talked about since our trip, and definitely wants to go back there.

I don't care about eating at Sci-Fi, but I thought the kids would enjoy the whole atmosphere. I have read over time that the Sci-Fi shakes are awesome so I thought that would be a good way for them to get to experience it, but I am SOOOO open to other suggestions as to how we can hit the place just once :) Maybe we could just run in and use the restroom HAHAHAHA

yes you can share. We were there 2 weeks ago on the DDP and ordered 1 order of fried chicken and 1 chicken caesar salad. We had 2 adults and 2 "disney" adults...my kids 10 and 12. It wasn't a problem at all.

My husband and I order LI iced teas (don't bother not real ones!) and one kid had a shake and the other a cherry coke.

It was a really quick meal. I would say the food was brought out less than 5 minutes after ordering it. They do turn those tables over fast!

You don't need a reservation at either one just for shakes. There are a few tables in the rear of the restaurant and you can usually get those with short notice. As far as 50's Prime Time you can sit at the bar and order anything off the menu, no reservation required.

You can also get drinks to go at the 50's bar...my son got a pb&j to go, while hubby and I got a beer to go...
